Byleth sighed, "Much better, now as long as I keep up the pace I will be able to find that-"

"Byleth," Byleth turned around and saw the mirror was back again but on the ground. Byleth looked at the mirror in confusion and walked over.

Byleth asked, "Yes? What's the matter?"

"You're looking for the book in the wrong place, the book is in the Icarus Mountains. You're far away from the mountains,"

Byleth shouted, "DIDN'T YOU SAY THE BOOK WAS IN SUMERU?! ARE YOU TRYING TO MAKE ME NOT GET MY HANDS ON IT?!"

"I'm not, I just made an accident and forgot where it was. I remember with our first interaction that it was in the Icarus Mountains. However, I was careless and forgot, I apologize greatly," The mirror explained. Byleth muttered something under his breath before finally taking a deep breath.

Byleth sighed, "I forgive you. However, may I get the nearest location of where these mountains are? I'm not familiar with them..."

"Of course, these mountains are located up where Lythos is. So directly east of Elusia. Go past Lythos and there you will find the fountains. You will find the abandoned chapel there and the book will be in a glass panel; however, you must be careful. It is not easy to break that glass," The mirror explained.

Byleth sighed, "Understood, I just need to find a faster way to get to Elusia and Lythos again. Knowing Queen Ivy she will be keeping a watchful eye on me..."

"Speaking of, the netherworld..."

"The... Netherworld... the guide to true perfection, once I get that crown I truly will be invincible to everyone that surrounds me..." Byleth said as he fixed himself. He turned over to the mirror and smiled. "Tell me, is it really the best idea to collect all three items in order to become perfect?"

The mirror laughed, "Of course Byleth! That's the only way anybody can be perfect! If you need it so badly you're leading to a great life... you just need to sacrifice one of your friends! Preferably a best friend..." Byleth's eyes widened in shock, he didn't know what to say to the mirror. "Are you afraid to sacrifice one of your friends?"

Byleth sighed, "I'm not afraid at all... just in shock." Byleth looked down at himself as the mirror vanished from the scene. Soon the negative energy started to consume him even more. He was losing more and more control of his body. "GAH! NO! I... I don't want to hurt my closest friends..."

However, he was unable to fight back. The negative energy was flowing through his body fully, there was no way to fight back. It was overwhelming him more and more. Byleth then collapsed onto the ground, he was drained of pure energy he had. The good energy he was storing was slowly disappearing from deep within him.

Byleth muttered, "I... I wanted... to be... I wanted to be... a help to the team... so I thought..." Byleth then closed his eyes as the last bit of pure energy was drained from him. Byleth was no longer his original self anymore. He lost himself completely, he no longer knew who he was.

Soon the purple aura surrounded him, all of this was coming from the scroll. The scroll had drained him whole and kept his energy conserved within it. Byleth slowly opened his eyes and got up. He searched the area and slowly stood up. He took a deep breath and got ready to get to Lythos. Suddenly...

"BYLETH!!!" Someone shouted. He looked around and looked up into the air. Those were the cries of his friends. They landed onto the ground and all hopped off their wyverns. "What are you doing here?!"

Byleth groaned, "You..." They walked over and soon noticed the purple aura that was surrounding him. They soon stepped backward and looked at him in worry. "What are you all doing following me..."

Alear asked, "Byleth... what's the matter?"

"You... are all nothing..." Byleth muttered, and soon he took out his sword. The heroes stared at him in confusion but they took out their weapons. "You heroes have no idea what it is to do everything in your power to achieve perfection."

Chrom asked, "What are you talking about?! Perfection is impossible to achieve and it will not benefit you at all."

"BENEFIT ME!?! DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHO I AM!?" Byleth asked as he got ready to attack Chrom. Chrom stared at him and back at himself. Then he took a deep breath.

Chrom explained, "I know who you are. You are my best friend, I don't want to see you acting like this. Not only does it dishearten me, but everyone else surrounding us."

"YOU KNOW NOTHING!! NOTHING!!" Byleth shouted as he got ready to whip them.

Chrom ordered, "JUST ONE THING! Why... Why did you kill Mario?"

"Why... I killed Mario?" Byleth asked as put his sword onto the ground. "Well... at least I know longer have to hide that fact anymore."
