𝑉𝐴𝐿𝐸𝑁𝑇𝐼𝑁𝐴 𝑊𝐴𝑁𝑇𝐸𝐷 𝑇𝑂 𝑊𝑂𝑅𝐾 more directly in the field with everyone else since she felt she had the skills and the need to do it. Valentina felt as though she needed to know for certain that the abducted girl was safe and it was stressing her out just sitting behind a desk while someone, who was in the exact same situation as she was, struggled by herself.
There was also the fact that Valentina knows that she could be a help in the field. She runs every morning, she stays in shape and her favourite uncle was a police officer, so she already knew how to shoot a gun. Valentina just had to get certified and pass a test so she could be cleared to work in the field.
Conveniently, Spencer too needed to pass a certification test, but it was just coincidence that he was preparing the same day as Valentina. Hotch was helping Spencer since, quite honestly, he needed more help while Morgan was working with Valentina.
Valentina was preparing herself to do some target practice as Morgan began to explain to her how this was going to work. "Back when I was doing special forces, we broke shots down into three steps. One: front sight, focus on the front sight, not on the target."
Valentina put on the construction headphones to block out the sound and the glasses as well as Morgan continued on, him doing the same. "Two: controlled trigger press."
Valentina began to load the gun that was in front of her, she already knew how to do this, so she wasn't really listening to Morgan. "Three: follow through, after the shot you come right back to the target-"
Morgan was suddenly cut off when three shots went off. Valentina had shot two bullets through the head and one through the chest of the target. Spencer and Hotch, who were in the lane next to them, and along with Morgan were completely shocked by her accuracy.
