Chapter 38: What's a Period?

I think I had enough rest and I felt better.

I got up and I went to the bathroom. I rinsed my face with water and I looked up at my reflection in the mirror.

HOLY COW

I see this small bruise on my cheek.. James punched me in the face? I thought it was the head. Well I remember feeling pain on my head.

I wiped the water off my face and I left Lauren's house.

I walked to my house. I unlocked the door and went in.

"GEMTARD IS HOME!"

Dad is vlogging.. Er.. I am gonna hid. I don't want him to see my bruise. I quickly lock the door and I sprint to my bedroom.

I close my door and I hid under the covers of my blanket.

"GEMMTARD!!!!!!"

Dad is so loud.. -_-

He knocks on my door.

"Gemtard?" I hear him opening my door.

I have a feeling he's going to grab the blanket and pull it off me.

"Go away..." I hissed.

"C'mon, Gemtard! You haven't showed up for a lot of vlogs. People miss you!"

"Not today.." I said.

"At least you should show your face."

My face was something I don't want to show to the vlog or Dad.

"I'M ON MY PERIODDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I shouted.

I can feel that Dad is shocked by the sudden response.

"Um, okay.. But you better show yourself today."

I hear him walking out and closing the door.

I take off my blanket and I stood up.

"You say you're on your period?" I hear a voice behind me say.

I turned around and I see Xander in his room with his window open.

"No! It's not what you think!" My eyes widened.

"Uhh, chill.. " He raised his eyebrows and slowly closed the window. I watched him slowly close his curtains too.

I face palmed and I opened my bedroom door. I see Brock in front of my door looking up at me.

"What's a period?"

I smiled at him and picked him up. As I walked to the living room, I said, "A period that makes girls annoyed and they become really angry when they have it."

Might as well tell the kid since in the future he's gonna hear his 3 sisters complain about it.

I put him down in front of his collection of toy cars.

He picked up an orange car. "Jewel, I'm gonna call this car 'Period'." I laughed so hard when I heard him say it.

"Why do you want to call that car 'Period'?" I asked while chuckling.

"This car always make Avia angry because it always flips over."

"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHHA!!!!!!!!!!!"

Brock just innocently smiled.

I stopped laughing and Brock asked about my bruise.

I crouched. "I'm okay, I just fell." I lied.

He pulled my face down and he kissed my bruise.

"Get well soon."

"Thanks, lil' bro."

He got up and held his 'Period'.

"VROOOOM! MOMMY, I HAVE MY PERIOD!" He shouted as he ran to the kitchen.

James disappeared. He wasn't at Lauren's house for a few days.

I texted him and called him. He didn't reply or pick up. Xander and Lauren did the same. We all were worried.

"Where do you think he would be?" I asked Xander.

"I'm not sure.. But he said he likes to hang out at the soccer field."

We rushed to the closest soccer field. We found him kicking the soccer ball into the goal.

"James!!" Lauren blurted.

He quickly turned his head and saw us. He spotted me and ran away.

"Bad idea..." Xander said.

We ran after him. He ran faster. We were behind him like 10 meters away. We ran until we arrived at an intersection.

He ran right in the middle.. He looked back. I saw his eyes and he looked crazed.

"JAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
