We went to Idaho, staying at grandma's house for a few weeks.

We were checking out our house.

We stayed outside and the family were complimenting it. I walked at the front of our house while the family were checkin the back.

"Hi!" I heard a girl voice behind me.

I quickly turned and it was a girl around my age. She had ombré hair like brown to blue hair. She had hazel eyes. She was really pretty. She wore a black crop top with a floral skirt.

"Hello." I greeted her kindly.

"Are you the neighbour who lives in this house?"

"Well, I guess so. But we are going to live here in a few weeks."

She looked at the house.

"Ahh." She nodded. "This is a nice house."

"Yup."

"Oh yeah!" She turned to me with her big eyes.

"I'm Lauren Mitchell! Nice to meet you! I live next to you!"

"I'm Jewel Butler! Nice to meet you too!"

We shook hands.

"Yay! I'm friends with my neighbour! I'm never friends with my neighbours. So it's nice!"

I smiled.

"Do you have siblings?" She asked.

"Yeah 5 siblings. 3 brothers and 2 sisters. All younger than me."

"Lucky! I have one brother who's older than me. How old are you? I'm 16."

"I'm 16 too."

"Cool! I wish I had a sister."

There was an awkward silence.

"Okay! Well, I'm looking forward to be to neighbor!" She grinned.

"Yup! Me too!"

"I'll see you later!" She waved.

I waved back and walked to my family.

We went to the park which had a lot of space. Zeke ran around a lot. The kids flew their kites. I had a green and blue kite and it couldn't fly. No matter how hard I try. All the other kids flew their own kites and the kites are flying in the air.

I held my kite and started to run. I finally let go and I watched my kite.

Wait it's flying!!

The kite flew and flew.

I was happy.

Then it started to fall.

"NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" I yelled.

I gave up.

I fell to my knees. And I dramatically looked up to the sky.

"WHYYYYYYYYYYY????" I cried.

I heard my family laughing at me.

I stood up and walked over to the stupid kite.

I picked it up and walked over to Dad who was vlogging and sitting on the grass. I dropped the kite next to him.

I sat cross legged in front of him

I looked straight in the camera.

"I give up."

"I'll do it for you," Logan insisted.

"No thanks." I frowned.

"Here maybe it's just the kite that's bad."

Logan picked up the kite and started to run with it. He flew the kite. The kite perfectly glided in the sky.

"Are you kidding me?!" I said in my impression of Miranda Sings.

I face palmed.

"The kite doesn't like you." Emmi said an laughed.

I glared at her.

Emmi stuck out her tongue at me.

I gasped. "Why you gotta be so ruuude?" I sang.

Dad chuckled.
