"Kookah, come on! Don't make that face. You can do this!" A 17-year-old Tae said, encouraging his best friend, who was also 17, Jungkook. Jungkook was nervously biting his nails, feeling scared.
"But Tae, I'm scared! What if I can't win? You know it's my first time singing in front of people. I'm nervous too!"
Tae rubbed his back and gently caressed his hair. "I know you're nervous, but you're Jeon Jungkook! You can do anything, right?" Jungkook smiled at his best friend and hugged him, feeling lucky to have him as his brother-like best friend.
"You have a dance competition too, and here I am wasting your time. Go show everyone that you're the best dancer, Tae!"
They were childhood best friends and neighbors. The Kims were wealthy, but not as much as the Jeons. Jungkook's family didn't like Taehyung because they believed he was making their son weak. They thought Tae always stopping Jungkook from doing things they taught him, like hating the poor, not respecting them, and avoiding friendships with them because they warned him that poor people would take advantage of him. Taehyung, on the other hand, always told Jungkook that it was wrong and made sure to teach him good values and manners.
"Who are you staring at, kookah?" Tae asked, and Jungkook turned to him, pointing at the girl singing on stage.
"She's gorgeous and has an amazing voice, totally my type, Tae Tae."
Tae smacked his forehead while Jungkook pouted, but his gaze remained fixed on her. She was stunning, like a doll, and her long black hair drove him wild—love at first sight.
From that day on, Jungkook couldn't think of anything else; he was consumed by thoughts of her, his first love. He desperately wanted to see her again, and fate smiled upon him. One day, as he walking through the school corridor, and suddenly someone bumped into him—it was her.
Jungkook was taken aback. "Sorry," he managed to say, wanting to speak but feeling too nervous.
"It's okay, it was my fault too; I wasn't paying attention, sorry," she replied.
Finally, he found his voice and took a deep breath, his heart racing when she said.
"I’m Kim Jennie," she introduced herself, and Jungkook smiled back. "I’m Jeon Jungkook."
After that, they became friends, and Jungkook wasted no time in confessing his feelings. She accepted his proposal because she had fallen for him too.
After two years later in relationship. Their love growing only stronger but decided to wait until marriage for anything intimate. They share sweet kisses on the cheeks and cuddle close.
