"Where's your little friend?"

"You mean Sunoo? Oh, he's not-", before Sunghoon could tell Ni-ki the reason why Sunoo was absent, I interrupted him. Why'd he want and need to know anyway?

"Mind sharing why you're interested in this?" I accidentally said a bit louder than expected.

I could already feel the many eyes glancing at us. Those girls still can't let their eyes go of that boy. What's so special about him? But seriously, I should be better careful, I don't want his fangirls to kill me if they see that I'm not being nice to their ✨prince✨

Because of that, I tried to at least look friendly when I'm talking to that brat, even though that was harder than having an A in a maths test.

"There's no reason behind it. Just wanna know,"
He justified while he was leaning against our table. You can't read any emotion from his face. I would almost say that he looked dead. It's kind of creepy if you ask me.

I don't think Sunghoon dares to say anything anymore because he just looks at me with questionable eyes. He probably also doesn't know what to say.

"He got sick. Actually, it's because of you. Happy about that? Good, then leave us alone now."

Well, maybe he regrets his stupid act yesterday if he thinks he got sick because of him.
Surprisingly, Ni-ki quickly left without any stupid sayings. I guess it really affected him.

Fortunately, nothing happened after our little conversation. We were not looked at obliquely, nor did I see Ni-ki anywhere who could do nonsense again.

Sunghoon and I were both just silently eating our food until I asked him which class he had after the break. He didn't answer. I looked at him confused, wondering why he didn't say anything until I noticed him staring at something.

I tried to follow his eyes to see where he was looking at, but I couldn't find out because not even a minute later, he stopped his gaze. He noticed me looking at him.

"Oh, uh- where you asking me something? Sorry, I wasn't- "

"Where were you looking at, hm?"
It doesn't hurt to ask, right?

"Me? I-I wasn't looking at anyone, okay!
I was just lost in my thoughts for a moment, that's all."

He surely was lying about that. Sunghoon was literally as red as a tomato while defending himself. Why would he be nervous if he's saying the truth?

"I didn't even mention someone. Seems like you're lost in your thoughts while thinking about a special person, am I right?"

"There. Is. No. Special. Person," he annoyingly told me, but I wasn't really convinced by that. Nevertheless, someday, I'll find out anyway. I mean, hiding something from me? Impossible.

I can always tell when a person is lying or hiding something. I'm being totally serious when I said you could almost call me a lie detector.

"Did Sunoo tell you when he's going to be here again? It's really boring without him." Sunghoon tried to change the topic.

"Why'd it be boring if you have that person you can stare at the whole day?" I said with a little smile on my face.
