The clock on the nightstand flashed red which meant one thing.
IT'S MICK'S BIRTHDAY!
I rolled on top of him and started attacking his face with kisses.
His eyes slowly opened as he realized that the kisses weren't just a dream, but real life.
He chuckled sitting up.
"happy birthday" I smiled draping my arms around his neck.
He kissed me.
"thank you princess" he smiled pushing a piece of my hair behind my ear.
I cupped his face in my hands.
"what?" He chuckled.
"it's like you get younger every year" I teased.
He smiled flipping us over, so now that he was on top of me.
"and stronger" I huffed as he had me pinned underneath him.
He shook his head dropping his body down on top of mines.

"nappy time" he yawned closing his eyes.
I gasped.
"you're crushing me!"
"Mick can't come to the phone right now. please leave a message at the beep. beeeeeeep"
I rolled my eyes sighing in defeat.
"you're lucky it's your birthday" I pouted rubbing his back.
Soon enough his breath slowed and his soft snores returned.
I smiled kissing his cheek.

When I woke up I felt the space beside me empty.
I got up and looked around the room for Mick but I couldn't find him.
I washed up then headed downstairs.
As I made the corner to enter the kitchen I saw him pouring himself a cup of coffee.
"morning birthday boy" I smiled hugging him from behind.
He put the cup down and turnt around kissing me.
I smiled pulling away.
"someone's touchy" I teased.
"well it is my birthday" he said lifting me up and sitting me on the island.
