(Recap:
The last thing that I heard and felt was the banging on the door behind me.

Then, I blacked out.)

I watched as she took the newspaper out of my hands.

"Sorry, just a moment," She said.

Something was going through her mind.
Something was wrong.

I could tell.

Her brothers probably could too.

Before she came down, Daniel had radioed me and said that she wasn't herself in the morning.

I was reading about the latest news that had gone on in the country.
So many fights.
So many arrested.
But so many innocent civilians were killed.
That's just not right.
It's not right at all.

I could see the thoughts swirling through her head as she examined something in the newspaper.
Her eyes looked almost watery, as though they were going to cry.
But she wouldn't let them out,
She stubborn like that.

Like everyone else in the family.

She shoved the newspaper back into my hands and raced up the stairs, most likely going towards her room.
Damien and Daniel both ran up after her, leaving some distance.

"What happened Dad?" Stefano asked.

"I'm not too sure, but whatever she was looking for on the newspaper, she found and I think it was something bad," I replied.

"Well where was staring at?" Matteo questioned.

"It was somewhere near the top, I could see her eyes almost peering over it," Alessandro stated.

They all gathered around me, and we turned the newspaper to the page she was on.
The page was all about the 12 people who had died from a mass stabbing, that must have hurt her.
But that couldn't have been it.

That was near the middle of the paper.

All of our eyes simultaneously flicked up to the top of the page.

Friday 16th June

But what does that mean?

We all shared a questioning glance at each other.
No one seems to know.

"Capo, Alessia is not responding when we knock on the door, it could be nothing but we thought we'd let you know," Damien spoke through the radio in his ear.
