(Recap:
She sat on the floor, cross-legged and rubbed her eyes.

"So, what was it you wanted to talk about?')

I sat there on the floor, acting as normal as I could possibly be.
I knew what they wanted to talk about.
Isn't it obvious?

They were going to ask so many questions, I could practically see them bursting with them.
I had to mentally prepare myself for them.
Like, I need innocent, vague and potentially cryptic answers to whatever they ask.

I should add some detail to make it believable, add some half-truths but not fully truths to the mix.
Just bend what really happened, I guess.

It'll be fine.

Breathe in.

And out.

In.

And out.

When I was finally calm, I opened my eyes.

"Ask away," I sighed.

I already knew what the first question would be.

"What happened?" Dad asked cautiously.

Probably scared that it may happen again.
I hate being treated like glass.
All fragile and cannot be touched.

But then again.

Aren't fragile things just supposed to be broken?

Like my heart.

I burst out laughing, finding myself absolutely hilarious and leaving my family to think that I am delusional and a complete weirdo.

"It was someone I cared very much about's funeral today. Just caught me by surprise I guess, I almost forgot about it," I gave a sad smile as I stared at the ground.

I saw the look of pity that overrides their typical blank emotionless faces.

Ew

I hate pity.

I loathe it.

"It's okay sorellina I'm sure that person will forgive you," Stefano beamed.
(Baby sister)

I smiled at him.
Some people really do know nothing.
While others assume that they do know things, just to be in control.

But, like mother told me,

(When she actually cared)

When you assume, you make an ass out of u and me.

(And that's how you spell assume)

"How long has it been since this person died?" Alessandro asked.
