Chapter 30

"So...how'd it go with Galya?" Kal asked, once they had ridden a safe distance away from Rysentown.

Sara smiled. "Good."

Kal stared at her, like he expected her to say something more.

"That's it?" Kal said after a moment. "Nothing else to say?"

Sara shrugged. "What do you want to know?"

"I would certainly like to know if she feels the same way about me as I do her!"

Sara smiled. "Well, she does."

Kal's jaw dropped.

Janner chuckled. "Surprised, Kal?"

"Very." He mumbled. He slowly smiled.

"What?" Janner asked.

"Nothing." Kal said quietly. He had a dreamy look in his eyes.

Janner and Sara shared a look, then decided to torture Kal.

"So...when are you gonna mArRy her?" Janner asked.

"How many kids do you want?" Sara asked, giggling.

Kal snapped out of his trance. "Hey! Stop that!"

Janner laughed as they came up to Castle Rysen. "Alright. But I have one question."

Kal sighed. "Fine."

Janner grinned as he dismounted his horse. "You want to have a joint wedding with us?"

Sara and Janner laughed as Kal frowned.

Once they had put their horses in the stable, the three headed to the kitchen, for dinner.

"It's almost done." Nia said, noticing how Kal kept eyeing the food.

He mumbled something about impatience.

Nia laughed. She turned to Janner and Sara. "So, how'd it go in Rysentown?"

Janner shrugged while Sara grinned.

"Kal has a crush." She said, grinning.

Kal looked at her and glared.

Janner snickered. "And it's on Galya, who also has a crush on Kal."

Nia smiled. "You're growing up so fast." She hugged Kal.

Kal grimaced. "You didn't hug Janner when he had a crush."

"Yes she did." Janner corrected.

Kal rolled his eyes. "Fine. I'll be in my room, drawing."

Janner watched his brother leave.

He turned to Sara and his mother. "I never thought I'd say this, but we need to set Kal up with Galya."

Sara and Nia turned their attention to him.

After about 15 minutes, they had a plan.
