Chapter Twenty-Nine

Nick

"you having fun?"

Abby asked me as she walked up to me

"not really"

I said turning to her and taking another sip of my drink. This party sucked, I have hated parties ever since Nova died, it's just not the same without her. 

"I need to use the bathroom"

Abby said as she walked away without saying anything else. I pulled out a cigarette and twirled it with my fingers debating on whether I should do it it or not, I sighed taking one last sip of my beer before throwing it in the empty trash can. I had been at this damn party for almost three hours and it hasn't been one bit fun. Honestly I still don't know why Abby made me go to this damn party, it was a buzz kill without her. I walked up the stairs to find the nearest bedroom not caring who's it is, I just walked in and laid down trying to wait out this awful night. I laid there a few moment doing literally nothing, until I brought out my phone and scrolled through Instagram. I hoped that I could hide for a bit without anyone noticing I was here, at least until the party is over. I really didn't feel like doing anything right now.

I scrolled, and scrolled, and scrolled for a few moments until I heard some footsteps coming from the hallway. I looked up at the hallway trying to see who it was, and in came a... drunk Olora with a red silicone cup bumping into the frame of the door as she tried to walk through

"whoa"

I said as I threw my phone and got up to help her. I put her shoulder around my arm and carried her to the edge of the bed

"you okay?"

I asked her, she just seemed dazed

"I.. I'm.. fine"

she said slurring all of her words, she tried to take another sip of her drink but I took it before she could take another sip

"jerk"

she said in a weird drunk tone

"You will thank me later"

I put the cup down and kneeled down so I could talk to her better

"what were you thinking Olora?"

she laughed at my comment

"I wasnn..."

I grabbed a bottle of water and handed it to her

"start drinking this"

I said as I handed it to her

"thank You niiik.. you been... amazin friend" 

she started to cry, guess we know what kind of drunk she is

"drink the water"

I said trying not to laugh at what she was saying. She grabbed the bottle out of my hand and took the biggest sip in her life. When she removed the bottle from her lips she handed it to me. I smiled as I grabbed it from her hand and closed it. She had some water left on her upper lip, and her drunk ass wouldn't even be able to comprehend wiping it. I put my finger on her chin lifting her up to look at me, then I wiped it off of her lip until it was dry. When I finished without warning she smashed her lips into mine, but she was drunk how could she warn me. I pulled away quickly from her

"what are you diung.... i want you... all of chu"

she said trying to kiss me but I stopped her again

"don't you like me?"

she almost had tears in her eyes, they were already starting to swell up

"of course I like you, I haven't liked anyone except Nova, I might even be in love with you"

I confessed to her knowing that she wouldn't even remember tomorrow. She's been so stuck on Tamyson their was no point of even confessing my feelings for her right now.

"You are very drunk, if I did I would be taking advantage of you"

she stopped after hearing this.

"drink"

I told her handing her the water bottle again

"I don't wanna be here"

she tells me on the verge of tears.

"okay, I'll get you out of here"

I put my arm around her shoulder and tried my best to get her out without anyone noticing that she was really drunk. I brought her to my car and buckled her in, before going to my side and getting in. She was looking out the window, with tears in her eyes. I looked at her with guilt in my eyes before starting the car. I'd dreamt about the first time I  would finally get to kiss her, somewhere under a big tree as we watched the sunset.. but this, It's not what I imagined at all. Without thinking I took her to my place, it was the first place I could think of. My parents were out for the week for some business trip and my brother was asleep by now. I got out of the car and ran to the side she was on and helped her out. 

"look Nick, it's a titty"

she said pointing to the stray cat that's always around my street. Titty?

"yea, it's a kitty"

we finally reached the front door of my house

"I need you to be quiet when we go inside, my little brother is sleeping"

I told her before going inside

"okay, I can do that Nicky"

she began to rub her free hand on my neck, shit with my free hand I grabbed it and held it still as we walked inside the house. It was warm compared to outside, there was a green Christmas tree in the living room, and on our lawn we have Christmas decorations everywhere. I pulled her through the kitchen and to my room. I laid her down on my bed

"I'll be right back"

I told her as I went to the kitchen to get her a glass of ice water cause dummy me forgot the bottle of water at home. I went back into my bedroom where she way laying on her side, god she looked so beautiful even when she's drunk.

"drink this"

I told her sitting down next to her and handing her the glass cup. She sat up and began to chug that thing, until the water was no more, I grabbed the empty cup out of her hand and put it on the counter.

'I'm tired"

she said yawning

"sleep"

"what.. bout..chu?"

she asked still a bit dazed, I smiled at the fact that even drunk her is pretty damn amazing

"I'll sleep on the chair"

I told her not really caring where I slept tonight, as long as she sept.

"okay"

she said laying down on my bed. I walked over to her and put the blankets over her after seeing that she had been slivering like crazy. She smiled as she fell asleep. I went over to my dresser and pulled out a new shirt to sleep in, I took off my shirt and threw it to the floor

"abs"

Olora smiled halfway asleep looking at my body. I had to admit it was  adorable, I out on my other shirt and walked over to her.

"go to sleep"

I said rubbing her head, trying to make her fall asleep, after a few minutes of this she was finally out like a light, sleeping peaceful. After seeing that she was asleep I went over to the couch grabbed a blanket, and closed my eyes.
