Wednesday's POV:

"What?" I say, taken aback by what she just said.

"Well, not back to school. I saw him in the hallway walking. I went to the principal about it and she said he was just visiting." Enid explains.

I don't trust this. "No way. He's definitely up to something." I furrow my eyebrows.

"No! He's not enrolled in this school. We're fine. We're safe in the building." She says, grabbing my hands to hold them in her own.

I roll my eyes. I don't want to argue with her, I just woke up. "Fine," I say as I look over at my calendar.

"What is today?" I ask.

"Tuesday," Enid answers. I nod and turn back towards her. "You missed school. But don't worry, I excused you from all your work." She says.

I blink in disbelief. There's no way the teachers allowed that. "Well, the principal did." She said as if she read my mind.

Enid talks again, not allowing me to say what I was going to say. "Can I take you somewhere tonight?"

I raise an eyebrow. "Where?" I ask, curiously.

She holds her hands behind her back and bobs up and down. "A double date with Yoko and Layla." She says.

My eyebrows raise now. "They're together?" I ask.

She chuckles. "Yeah, I told you that."

"You did?" I ask. Enid nods her head. Good for them. "Nice," I say before turning around. "If you may excuse me, I have some writing to catch up to."

I sit at my desk, readying my typewriter. "Okey doke! Imma go tell Yoko." I hear her say as she leaves the dorm.

I sigh to myself. Finally, I can get back to what I've always been doing.

Enid's POV:

I walk next to Wednesday down to Jericho. I ramble on and on about how excited I am for our date. Well, double date.

"I'm excited, are you?" I ask her. Her cold expression remains the same as she continues to look forward.

"No." She replies, stubbornly. We all know she actually is.

We arrive in front of the Weathervane. For some reason, Yoko wanted to meet there. We spot Yoko and Layla as we walk over to sit across from them. Wednesday takes the inside seat.

"So, how are you guys?" I say once I am seated.

"We're doing good," Layla says as she moves closer to Yoko, smiling.

I smile as I watch the two. They look so cute together. I wonder if me and Wednesday are the same. I doubt it because of how cold and rude Wednesday is.

"What's the topic?" Yoko asks.

I turn to Wednesday, her face still remains the same. God, I wish she'd show more emotion.
