Wednesday's POV:
It's been about a week since Yoko decided to break up with Layla. She hasn't been her normal self since. The poor vampire has been depressed. Nothing me nor Enid did cheered her up.
I wasn't surprised by my attempts, but Enids shocked me. They are very close, how could she not be cheered up by her own best friend? I mean, I understand.
Layla was sweet to her. She was different to Yoko since Bianca. But we despise her now, so...
We walk on a path through the woods. Since there is a forest right next to my house, I know them very well and all. I'm taking her to this nice, open sky spot. I set up a little date for us to lie down and look at the stars.
It's half picnic, half star gazing. She has no idea, though. I turn my head to look at the girl. Enid pays no attention to me but instead admires the environment.
It is pretty, not going to lie. That's why I love coming here. It's nice and peaceful. Perfect place to go with your thoughts. There's one place that isn't as peaceful.
It's where I do my axe throwing.
I was practicing one day and Pugsley, being stupid as he normally is, ran in front of the target and almost got his head taken off. As much as I love torturing him, I didn't like it.
I could've killed him.
Then I'd have no one to punish. I did get in trouble, though. Sent up to my room for a week, not being allowed to see Pugsley. It hurt. But not for long because I winded up sneaking out to visit him after my parents went to bed.
"Hello? Earth to Wednesday!" Enid snaps in front of my face. I blink, taking myself back to reality.
"What? Sorry." I murmur.
I have not realized I've been standing in the same place for a while now. Why'd I stop for such a thought?
"What are you thinking about?" She asks. I take a step forward and walk again, pulling her with me.
"My brother," I mumble. I hear Enid chuckle.
"You stopped walking to think about your brother? How cute." I roll my eyes at her and we walk down the path.
We approach the little picnic and I stop as I watch her run over and scream in excitement.
She's so cute.
Enid's POV:
"This is all for me?" I squeal as I spin around to the girl.
Wens sits crisscrossed on the blanket now and nods her head. I grin and flop down next to her, laying my head on her lap. My eyes look upwards at her as she looks down at me.
A tiny smile forms on her face, showing her little dimples. Imma die. It's so fucking adorable.
I feel her hands in my hair as I make myself comfortable. My eyes close, ignoring the sound of plastic opening.
Wait... Food!
My head jerks up as I whirl around to Wednesday. She looks at me, startled. I smile at her before my eyes drift down to whatever is in her hand.
Wens notices and scoffs while rolling her eyes. I swear she's doing that a lot more lately. Maybe it's just me. A red, ball-like structure is in her hand as she moves it towards my mouth.
I look at it, curiously. Oh, it's a strawberry. Stop being so dumb, Enid!
My mouth opens as it comes closer and I bite down into it, leaving the leaf part in her hand. She chucks it behind her as she takes another one and feeds it to me. This goes on for a couple more minutes before I grow frustrated.
I snatch the container from her hands and start to feed Wens strawberries. She looked at me in shock before eating the one that was in front of her mouth.
She took the leaves! The fuck?
I scrunch up my face before shaking my head and grabbing another one. I hear a small giggle from the side as my head jerks towards the girl.
She stares blankly at me as I raise an eyebrow. Oh, whatever.
I look back towards the container, lifting the strawberry I had in my hand and turning to the girl. Once she comes into my view, she holds something out in front of me.
The berry slips from my hands and onto the blanket as I beam. I gasped while I carefully took the bottle out of her hand. Corona beer.
I always wanted to try this. But Yoko never liked it so she never got it.
I squeal as I pop open the tab, quickly chugging the bottle. I feel it being taken out of my hands as I look at Wens, confused.
"We don't want a drunk Enid, now do we?" She asks with a small smirk.
I smile lustfully at her. "I know you do," I whisper, reaching over to boop her nose.
She smacks my hand away as I grab the bottle from her hand again. "Haha!" I snicker.
I take another sip from the bottle before it's yanked out of my hands again. "Hey!" I whine as I watch the girl raise it to her lips.
"Losers weepers," Wens says before taking a long sip from it.
I grunt and fold my arms, putting an angry face on and looking at the ground. She sighs, finding the cap to put it back on before moving a little towards me.
I feel my head being turned as my lips press into hers. A sloppy kiss... from both of us this time. Woah.
Our lips part as I sigh, letting my head fall backward. I never noticed how much of an open spot there was above us. A perfect spot to star gaze.
"Wens," I say softly, turning back to the girl. "We should lay down and watch the stars," I suggest.
She smiles and nods, placing a hand on mine. I smile before catching a glimpse of something out of the corner of my eye. I turn towards the girl, noticing her head jerked back and is falling backward onto the ground.
"Wednesday?"
