Enid's POV:
"Wednesday!" I gasp for air as I sit up and look around the room.
My eyes are watering up, all I see is blurry light colors. Where's the rainbow and then the death on the other side of the room? I look back and forth rapidly. Where am I?
In the corner of the room sits a small boy. He has dark curly hair with glasses. Is that Eugene?
The boy stands up and walks over to me, holding my hands in his. My eyes begin to clear out as I can see him. It is Eugene.
"Eu- Eu..." My voice is hoarse. My throat burns. How long has it been? What happened?
Last thing I remember is Wednesday getting shot. Why am I here then? Did I do something that caused me to get injured and to wind up in the hospital Wait, is Wednesday alive?
I try to throw my legs off the bed, but only being rewarded with pain. I wince. Why can't I barely move? Am I paralyzed or something? I remove my hand from Eugene's hold and look at the hospital bracelet on my left wrist.
The bracelet looks a bit old. I turn it around on my wrist until I see letters and words. I've been here for...
Six months?! What the fuck?
No wonder why I can't move or speak. What the hell?
But, Wednesday was literally shot dead in front of me just last night. This must be wrong.
"Eu-" I look up and try to say with no success.
Eugene is no longer by my side but by the door. His head pokes out before turning back around to me. He steps aside and doesn't come back over to me.
I raise an eyebrow at him. Suddenly, two figures appear in the doorway. They're not nurses.
"Enid?" I hear one say.
That sounds like... Wednesday!
My eyes follow the girl as she walks over to my side. Her eyes look into mine. Her eyes are more different than when I saw them. They're still dark, but there's a glisten in them.
"Wen-" I try to say with yet no success. Her hands touch mine, they're warm.
"Don't try to speak. We still need to call the doctor." She says, looking at Yoko. Her head tilts quickly, silently telling Yoko to go.
She nods and walks out of the room. Wednesday turns her head back to me and gives me a little smile. I give one back before using my hand to push her face towards mine to kiss.

Wednesday's POV:
The doctor pours some water down Enid's throat, hoping it will help her be able to talk. He places the empty cup on the cart and grabs the clipboard.
He jots some stuff down before looking back at Enid. "Try to say this: My name is Enid." He says to her, placing the clipboard back down.
She swallows before opening her mouth. "My... my name... is E-Enid." She says hoarsely.
It's not that bad this time. She's doing better. That's great.
