Wednesday's POV:
I've been very suspicious of Layla all week ever since we went on the date and she got that phone call. She was so weird about it.
Layla came back to the table like nothing happened and when we asked her about it, she always changed the subject. Enid didn't exactly seem to notice, but me and Yoko definitely did.
I mean, Enid is just... well, you know... slow.
It's early in the morning, I lay next to the wolf. Her head lies on my chest as my fingers ruffle her hair softly. I didn't get sleep, I've been up thinking.
Tonight was the night that I did my major thinking. When I try to put all the pieces together of what I saw. What I know. What I hear.
I never thought I'd think so far away from when it happened. Usually, it would happen just like a day after the incident. It's Saturday night now, took me a couple of days to figure this out.
Maybe I needed more evidence or something like that. I tried to get something out of Layla, but she wouldn't open up. Of course, I can't go to Yoko or Enid about it, they know what I know.
Wait, now that I think about it, maybe Yoko. She is her girlfriend after all. She has to at least know something. I quickly and quietly get out of Enid's grasp and tiptoe over to my side of the room.
I reach my desk and take my phone off of the charger Enid got me. I hold the phone in my hands, blinding myself as I turn it on. I curse at it as I turn the brightness down and proceed to what I was doing.

W: Hey, I have a question.
Y: Girl, do u not know what time it is rn??
W: What does rn mean?
Y: ugh nvm what's ur question
W: Have you found out anything about Layla?
Y: no sorry, she hasn't opened up to me at all
I slam my phone back down on my desk in frustration. Which alarms the sleeping girl on the other side of the room. Enid sits up, groggily, and rubs her eyes.
"Wens? What are you doing?" She asks, sleepily. I shuffle back over to her bed.
"Sorry, I had to use the bathroom." I lie.
She hums before lying back down on the bed and waits for me. I exhale sharply before joining her in the bed. Enid's arms wrap around my waist as her head comes back onto my chest.
She's fast asleep in less than a couple minutes and I sigh. I can finally go back to thinking.
Now what do I do about Layla?

Enid's POV:
I walk to the quad, Wednesday trotting along next to me. She seems tired. Did she not get enough sleep last night?
I'm snatched from my thoughts as I notice the smaller girl staring at me. "You okay?" We say in unison.
I laugh and a smile is planted on her face. "I'm okay, are you okay? You seem... tired." I ask her.
Wens looks down to the ground, not saying a single word. I scrunch up my face. That only means one thing. I walk over to the wall to pull her aside. I turn her so that she faces me. I lift her chin up to meet my eyes.
"Did you not sleep last night?" I ask her.
Her eyes look everywhere but mine. So that's a yes. I need to be sure about that first.
"Wens," I say sternly. Her eyes meet mine again. "Did you sleep last night?" I demand.
Wednesday gulps before shaking her head. "No." She mumbles.
I drop my hand from her chin and she immediately looks down. I sigh in frustration before taking a deep breath. I can't be mad at her, there's obviously a reason.
"How come?" I ask her.
Wednesday's head looks up before she grabs my hand, squeezing it. "It's about Layla." She says.
Oh, we're back on this thing again. God, what are they seeing that I don't?! I shake my head.
"I still don't understand-" I stop speaking as I notice Yoko running by. "Yoko!" I call out.
She skids to a stop and turns around. She smiles as she walks towards us.
"Oh, there you guys are! I'm just going to find Layla, I'll meet you guys at the table." Yoko says before running off again.
Me and Wednesday look at each other and she shrugs her shoulders. I laugh before pulling her down the hallway to the quad.
Yoko's POV:
I run to Layla's dorm, thinking she might be in there. I've been trying to find Layla but she won't pick up her phone. I told her to meet me there early, and she was nowhere to be found. She would never leave me hanging.
I approach Layla's dorm and I open the door. I run into the room to not find a single soul. Where is she?
I run down to the library, knowing she likes to go there with Jason. I run through the doors and look around. I don't see Layla, but I see Jason. I run over to him, making him jump in the process.
I hold in my laugh. "Have you seen Layla?" I ask Jason.
He shakes his head. "She said she was going somewhere today." Where would she go that isn't with me?
I walk away from Jason, frantically pushing buttons on my phone. I call Layla like a thousand times before she picks up.
"Where are you?"
"I'm uh... in the bathroom."
"Why are you in there? I told you to meet me five minutes ago."
"Yeah, sorry. No, I just forgot."
"Okay, well, are you coming now?"
"Yeah, just one sec. 'You coming, baby?'"
"What the fuck? Who the fuck was that?"
"I gotta go, bye!"
Layla hangs up.
