Tyler's POV:

"Ajax! Come here!" I yell up the stairs. I hear loud footsteps as he appears at the top of the steps.

"Yeah?"

I wave him to follow me as we walk over to the girl who sits up groggily and rubs her neck. "She's awake. We have to do it now." I whisper to him.

Then, we both sit down in front of Wednesday. "Tyler?" She says as she looks at me.

Time to take action.

"I am the hyde, you are my master. Our plan is to take over Nevermore. We will kill off people one by one every day. You tell no one this, or you will be punished severely." The words flow out of my mouth with stern. She just locks eyes with me as I talk.

She understands.

"Oh, and Enid's m-" Ajax starts to say, but I clamp my hand over his mouth. I look down at the ground and sigh, shaking my head.

"You got that?" I look back up to Wednesday. She nods slowly before I stand. "Great." I hold out a hand to help her up.

She needs to get back to Nevermore.

"I can get up on my own, thanks." She says as she stands, using the wall for balance.

I chuckle to myself as I pull my hand away, turning away to walk up the stairs. The two follow behind me and I walk back to the kitchen.

"You must be hungry," I say, glancing at Wednesday, then back at the fridge. I pull out whatever leftover food I have and slide it over to her.

She gratefully takes the food and starts to eat it. Her head turns to Ajax, who is staring at the food eagerly. "You want some or something?" She asks, cocking her head.

"Please!" Ajax exclaims as he eats some of the food as well.

I roll my eyes. I may or may not have forgotten to feed us this morning. I take some food out of the fridge myself and sit down to eat.

My eyes peek out at Wednesday. Plan Take Over Nevermore is a go.

Enid's POV:

I still lie on Wednesday's bed. I've spent midnights waking up, drenched in sweat, calling out Wednesday's name. But there never were any callings back.

It's early noon. I skipped school all this week. She's been gone for four days already. Where is she?

I hear the door open. Ugh, I don't want company right now. "Go away, Yoko!" I yell out, hoping she'll leave.

"I'm not Yoko." A familiar voice says.

I jerk up from the bed and run over to the door to find Wednesday standing there. "Wens!" I scream as I run over and hug the girl.

She doesn't hug back, but that's okay. I missed her so much. I'm so happy she's back.

"Sinclair, get off of me." She says sternly.

Sinclair?

I pull away and look at the girl, my hands resting on her shoulders. "Get. Off. Of. Me." Wednesday glares at me.

What's wrong with her? She scoffs and pushes past me, walking and sitting down at her desk.

"Are you okay?" I ask as I slowly walk behind her.

"I'm fine." She says.

Okay, weird.

"Okay, well, imma go hang out with the girls," I say as I turn to walk towards the door.

"Whatever. Tell Bianca I said hi." I hear from behind me.

I stop. Bianca?

I turn back around to the girl, raising an eyebrow. But she just types on her typewriter. I turn back around and quickly run down to Yoko's dorm.

I barge through the door, seeing Layla and Yoko sitting on the floor. "What?" Yoko says, kind of startled.

Instead of answering, I run over and tackle her to the ground with a hug. Then I start bawling on her shoulder. "Wednesday." The only word I can say right now.

Yoko pries me off of her and looks me in the eye. "Is she back?" She asks and I nod. "And?" She asks for more.

"She's horrible! She called me by my last name. My last name! And... and she's rude to me and didn't accept my hug! Something's wrong with her." I speak through tears.

Yoko nods her head and pulls me back into a hug. I continue to cry on her shoulder.

Why is Wednesday like this?

Wednesday's POV:

Without that annoying distraction, I can focus on my writing. But as I look at my previous papers, I don't recognize any of them. I read through them, not remembering anything about them.

I shrug and continue the story from there anyway, most of them are what I was going to be writing about anyway. I've been writing for at least an hour until I hear the door open again.

"What's wrong with you, Wednesday?" I turn around to find Enid standing in the middle of the room, glaring at me.

"Nothing," I say, annoyed. I turn back around and take out the last paper to place it with the others.

I stand and walk towards Enid. "What's your problem? Why are you so close to me? You know I despise physical touch." I say.

She looks at me in shock and disbelief. "What?" I say.

She continues to stare at me until a single tear falls down her cheek. God, not the crying.

"What happened to you?" She asks softly as her hand reaches for my cheek.

"Nothing," I say as I smack her arm away. I cannot deal with this right now.

I grab my bag and walk out the door to head to the library. Leaving the crying girl in the dorm by herself.

What's my problem?! What's hers? I'm perfectly fine.

I need to search for my first target.

I sit down at a table in the library, grabbing a book to hide suspicion. My eyes scan around the room until I find someone who catches my eye.

He's like me. All black clothes, antisocial.

He's kinda...
