Wednesday's POV:

I huddle in the corner next to Enid. She holds on to me very tightly. I feel like she'll kill me before Tyler does. Loud bangs and screams are heard throughout the school.

I flinch every time I hear something other than Enid's breathing and whimpering. I'm not crying. I'm not scared. To be honest, the only thing I'm scared for is Enid.

She is terrified. I have to be here for her. "Everything will be okay," I whisper into the girl's ear.

Her body is shaking so much and her lip is quivering. "N-no, it's not." She whispers back.

More screams are heard and a loud howl echoes throughout the school. When will this end?

Wait... He's here for me.

I slowly stand up, gaining a look from Enid. "What are you doing? Get down here!" Enid yells as she tries to tug me back down.

But I don't move. I have to do this. I free myself from Enid's grasp and begin to walk slowly to the door.

"Wednesday!" She calls out.

I don't look back. I unlock the door quietly before opening it, looking down both sides of the hall. "Stay here," I say as I turn to look at Enid. She moved up to her bed and hid under the covers.

I walk outside of the room and close the door behind me. I walk toward the sound of the screams very carefully. A whole crowd starts running in my direction, screaming and tripping.

As they run past me, I get shoved around and pushed into many people. Once they're through, a sharp cry makes me cover my ears. My ears are ringing now as the sound stops.

I quickly make my way downstairs, pushing past people who run toward me. As I turn the corner, I see it. The hyde.

"Hey!" I call out. It slowly turns around and stares me down. It grunts and growls. "I'm right here. Come get me." I say, clenching my fists at my side. I prepare for a lunge but it continues to stand there.

Its hand moves forward and takes a step. Big, slow, careful steps toward me. It's only a couple of feet away from me. Its big, bulging red eyes stare into mine. Drool drips down from its mouth, it's dyed red.

Blood.

Of all my classmates that I never really cared about. Its claws start to reach out to grab me.

"Watch out!" I hear from behind me.

I whip around to find a whole group of people. Gorgons. The hyde shrieks as I run. Before I make it away, I catch the gorgons reaching for their beanies.

Enid's POV:

Wednesday abandoned me. I hope she's okay. I cover myself with the blankets. I'm scared something will just burst through the door and eat me alive.

It has been five minutes already. She better not be dead. I consider going out and looking for her, but I really don't want to get killed in the process.
