Yoko's POV:
I run as fast as I can to the public bathroom downstairs. I feel like Layla is lying, but I'm going to check just in case. The bathroom door is in front of me as I barge in.
Girls inside gasp as they stare at me in shock. I don't see Layla. I give them a tiny smile before running back out. Who the fuck was in the background in the call?
It sounded like a girl's voice. Is she cheating on me? There's no way. Why would she do that?
I'm running through the school, as fast as my legs can go. It gets harder and harder to breathe. I start to slow down, taking air through my nose and out my mouth rapidly.
A few moments later, I break out into a run again. I dart down the hallway, accidentally bumping into someone and falling to the ground.
My head hits the floor as I yelp out in pain. My hand dives straight for my head and I start to rub it. My eyes slowly reopen as I gain my vision back. I swear I'm seeing birds.
I narrow my eyes at the person who also sits on the ground in front of me. "Layla?" I say in shock.
She stares at me, rubbing her head. I look back and forth, no one else is in the hall swear I saw someone when I first ran into her.
"Where's the other person?" I ask her. Layla's head tilts.
"Who?" She asks, cluelessly. I scoff. We're playing this game, huh?
"The person in the background on the phone when I called you. You know, the one that said like 'Ready to go, baby?'? That one." I say, standing up from the ground.
I wipe my hands which are covered in dirt. Layla stands up, too. "Oh, that's my friend. She was talking to her boyfriend." She says.
I squint my eyes. She's lying. "Why were you with them?" I ask her, very suspicious of the way she's acting.
"We were hanging out. Then I realized I was supposed to meet up with you. You called and my friend said that to her boyfriend so I just panicked and hung up. I'm sorry."
Layla looks at the ground and plays with her fingers. Well, it seems like she's telling the truth. But, something inside me is ripping me apart, telling me to not believe her.
I want to listen to it, but I just can't. Layla would never do that. I shouldn't trust my gut.
"It's okay," I say before turning around. "You can go back with them. I'll see you later." I speak softly before walking away to the quad.

Wednesday's POV:
It has been five minutes now and the vampire is still not here. Where is she? I need to talk to her about the Layla situation. IF Layla's not coming.
And so far, seems like she's not or something. Five minutes turn into ten minutes. I sigh, allowing my hand to fall onto the table.
I feel a hand on my one shoulder and a chin on the other. I turn my head slightly to find Enid there. She smiles sweetly at me before relaxing her face again.
I close my eyes, leaning my head against hers. I will die for this girl. I am going to marry her one day. I'm making that a promise.
I will never find anybody else to love but her. She's my everything. I turn my head back around, planting a kiss on her forehead.
Enid lifts her head from my shoulder and smiles at me. I give a tiny smile back before my head turns around to someone sitting at our table.
"Yoko! What's going on?" Enid exclaims.
Yoko sighs before stuffing her head into her hands. "I feel like Layla's cheating on me." She mutters.
I raise my eyebrows in shock and turn my head towards Enid, who has the same expression on her face. I look back at the vampire. "Well? Tell." I say.
Yoko starts to spill the beans to us as we sit there, looking at her like she doesn't have a head. Once she's done, Enid gasps. "She's totally cheating on you!" She exclaims.
Yoko raises her eyebrows and stares at Enid.
"What?" She yells out.
"How do you know that?" The vampire asks.
Enid chuckles a little and shrugs her shoulders. "Who invites their friend just to be a third wheel?" She asks. "It's really suspicious if you ask me."
Yoko narrows her eyes at her. "But you did it to me." She says.
Enid shakes her head. "That's different, we've known each other longer and I was the third wheel at some point, remember? And how long has Layla been in this school?"
They seem to be in some kind of staring contest until Yoko sighs and leans back. "You do have a point." She says in defeat.
"I win." Enid cheers, joyfully.
I smirk a little at my happy girlfriend. But it soon falls as I look at the upset Yoko. I reach across the table to place my hand on top of hers in reassurance.
"Don't worry, Dracula. We'll figure this out." I say, giving her a tiny smile as she looks at me.
She lets out a small giggle at my sense of humor and I smile a little more.
Good.
