Wednesday's POV:

The wolf squirms around in my arms as she sleeps. She might be uncomfortable. So, I shift over and lay on my side, pulling her towards my chest to cuddle.

Her arm wraps around my waist as she buries her head into my chest. I look down at the girl, running my fingers through her hair.

I'm so happy she's awake and here with me. I never thought I'd miss her so much. A couple of weeks without my lover was torture.

You do NOT want to go through that.

I hear small, quiet whimpers coming from the girl's mouth. It must be a nightmare. I move my body away from her as I use my hand to lift her chin upwards.

Her eyes slowly open. I just woke her up. Whoops.

"Are you okay?" I ask her.

Enid rubs her eyes and nods. "Just a nightmare." She says in a husky voice.

Holy...

"What was it about?" I choke out, trying to hide the blush that formed on my face.

Enid yawns before speaking. "Losing you." She says, her eyes burning into my own.

My face softens as I look deeply into her eyes. I watch as her eyes slowly become glossy.

"Don't cry. I'm right here, baby." I whisper, using my finger to wipe any tears that fall as she closes her eyes.

Suddenly, Enid's eyes open quickly as she stares at me. I raise an eyebrow. "What?" I ask, cluelessly.

A small grin falls on her face. My mind smiles as I see it. It's so adorable.

"Did you just call me baby and not cara mia or whatever?" She asks, beaming, completely mispronouncing cara mia.

"It's cara mia." I corrected her. She chuckles a little and a small smile escapes my lips. "And yes. Why? Do you not like it?" I ask, worried.

Enid shakes her head. "No, no it's fine." She says.

I nod, looking to the side a little. "Good, don't get used to it, though," I say firmly.

It's not my regular endearment term. I'm just trying something new. I don't think I like it, though.

It's quiet now. Enid stares off into space. Well, space meaning me. Her eyes dart all over my body. Is she thinking or is she getting a bit... you know?

"Can you tell me everything that happened before and during while when I was out?" She finally says.

I raise my eyebrows in shock. Okay...

"So you remember about what happened with you and Yoko right?" I get out. I hate talking about that.

She slowly nods her head. "Well, we figured out what happened, and I went to find you. Then Yoko found you on the ground over the balcony. We called 911 and got you to a hospital where they told us your brain was severely damaged and you went into a coma." I swear I said that all in one breath.
