I TOOK A VERY DEEP breath before changing into my jersey uniform. Meron pang kalahating oras bago magsimula ang laban, this is not our first time but I don't get why my hands are cold and bloody sweaty.
I can see Dwayne and Ica are silently praying so I did the same before grabbing my Niello Composite bows. I also wore my quiver and when I checked the everything are good, lumabas na kaming tatlo.
"Sweetheart."
Napatingin ako sa likod ko and I saw my Yassy. She looks nervous more than that I do. Mahina akong natawa.
"Are you nervous?"
"Medyo." Ngumiwi sya. "Kinakabahan ako na ewan pero alam naman naming mananalo kayo."
Napangiti ako. I took her hand and I felt warm by just holding her precious hands.
"Don't be. Sisiw na samin 'toh."
"Ang yabang pero true,"
Napailing ako at hinalikan sya sa noo at sabay naming tinungo ang field ng archery. Medyo mahangin din at hangin talaga ang totoong kalaban dito, hindi ang makakalaro mo.
Hindi pa madilim pero madami ng ilaw na nakabukas, kitang kita pa ang araw pero dahil mata ang gagamitin namin dito, kailangan din namin ng maliwanag na lugar.
Pinasuot kaming tatlo ni Coach ng eye patch sa hindi naming gagamiting mata. Okay lang din naman kung ayaw mo but we are trained to wear these.
Yassy helped me wear my gears and she also checked is my stabilizer and my scopes are good before handing it to me.
She's my little approver.
"Ano?? Ready na kayo?"
"Ready pa sa ready, Coach."
"Keri na keri, Coach."
"Yes, Coach."
Tumango si Coach at saka sya nag pray kasabay saamin and after that ay umalis na kami sa poder nina Coach at nagtungo na sa gitna.
Pamilyar na pamilyar sa amin ang mga kalaban namin, sila din naman kase ang kalaban namin last year.
Tsk, walang bago.
"Welcome to the first game of Archery here in South International University-" Anang MC. May sinabi pa sya bago nagpakilala ng players.
Sina Joshy, Shem at Riva at kalaban namin ngayon. They are pretty good but they're not the type of players that we'll be afraid of. Parang below avenger lang, ganun and I'm not that even bragging.
Once I heard my name, I raised my hand to see them and the MC started naming the referees and the scorers.
Enixplain din nila ang ground rules and stuff.
The game will last for 1 hour and the targets are 50,60 and 90 meters away from us. 10 seconds each hit, may timers din kami sa bawat gilid namin.
This game is played individually but the score are totaled by group.
"ARCHERS!"
Kinuha namin ang mga bow namin at kumuha ng arrow at sabay naming ipinosisyon iyun sa bow.
