He only thought of this because he wanted someone only Kazumi, Reiki wanted to feel Kazumi more love and he also want to feel the love from Kazumi too

" we will do our one last kiss before you finally wake up. Trust me, moving on from me is better than being stuck here"

"no my love, I will stay here no matter what, even if I die in here at least I get to spend my hours with you" he answered
