Bodi and Kai were traveling on the Destiny for approximately a month now, the vessel maneuvered the outer reaches of space, looking for other Omeocoon and various other endangered species. Captain Yar never informed the Patrol of his plan— as far as they knew, he was still inside of the abyss, his ship operated like an old age submarine— comms blackout until the mission was complete, whatever that mission was, he treated his crew well, and his guests well. But Kai of course was on house arrest, because they were questioning his psychiatric well-being, but they didn't know that much about restraining a shapeshifter, so it was pretty much morally up to Kai not to cause trouble.

Bodi had relatively free rein of the ship, besides restricted areas, like the engine room or bridge. But he did get to talk to some of the crew. Kai and Bodi weren't sure what the Captain was going to get out of this. Maybe he was a man just following orders, maybe he was helping because it was the right thing to do— his ship's primary mission was research. Now that the nebula was likely destabilized having aged itself out. Yar was supposed to make some kind of report. But he never did. Bodi attempted to make contact with his brother as they cruised space in their small quarters, they had bunkbeds, and that meant that they had to rest in solid form, Kai was somewhat used to it— but all Bodi wanted to do was turn into goo and spread out.

"So..? Wanna play I-spy?" Bodi asked, he and his brother weren't talking very much these days, Kai grumbled like an old man glared, and continued to face upward toward the top rack with a sour face. "No. I don't want to play I-spy." Kai said tossing and turning in his bunk. "Can you blame me for the stuff I did back at the cave?" Bodi asked.

"Yes," Kai answered bluntly, his back turned away from Bodi.

"Ugh! You're such a jerk! Making me sit in the corner. And then forcing Maxion to get off the ship. You did all that stuff to yourself."

Kai turned around and sat up, his back slightly arched because of the overhang of the bunk ahead. He smiled at his brother sinisterly. "You know what? I change my mind— I do want to play I-spy. And you know what I-spy? My delusional little brother!" Bodi about-faced, and proceeded toward the door. Kai crossed his arms, "Where do you think you're going?" Kai asked, almost like a concerned parent.

"Away from you. Enjoy your quiet time, I know how much you think it's my fault the ship crashed and everything. So I'm sure you'd to be alone."
"What? Who said that I hated you? Remember I just think you're an idiot." Kai grumbled his wicked smile holding strong. "It's true." Kai reinforced, and Bodi's eye twitched, at first, he put his hands up in the air and continued toward the door, but he was just getting a running start. His arm were pumping powerfully as he yelled, Kai stared in surprise as he watched Bodi surge across the room he jumped on his brother, which caught Kai off guard, and soon enough they were on the deck 'fighting,' neither of them were actually trying to hit each other, because even now they still loved each other, and after suffering so much pain and suffering from the loss of their village and parents— quite frankly they were the only ones that only had each other. But there was a great deal of shoving and pulling on each other's ears. Bodi at one point, bit Kai on the arm, which caused him some discomfort— what caused Kai to scream in agony was the landing of the smaller Gel-Bunny directly on his rib cage. Causing an immediate and immense explosion of pain.

"Get off of me," Kai said weakly, he exhaled a half-whine. Bodi had him pinned by the wrists, any other situation and the roles would've been reversed. "Say it!" Bodi yelled in Kai's ear, his voice echoing in the quiet room, he smiled evilly. He knew his brother well, and this was the moment he'd been waiting for– a chance to hear Kai admit something he rarely said. Kai groaned in pain, he couldn't help but weep weakly. "No," he muttered, his tone begrudgingly upset. "I won't because it's true." Bodi frowned, but he wished not to torture Kai again, so he released his brother from the pin, rolling off Kai to lay by his side on the deck, they both looked upward toward the overhead, breathing heavily, of course only one of them actually needed to breathe.

Kai groaned as he got up and walked toward a console, he pressed a few buttons on the shared workstation in those quarters, and he painfully settled into the seat. "Sometimes. I wonder what happens inside of your head, is it just completely empty up there?" Kai poked, and Bodi actually took that as an insult naturally. "I'm still leaving." Bodi's stood up moved closer to Kai and then made his tail move to swiftly smack Kai in the mouth and then made his way to the door. The perk of being the more 'controllable' one, was that Bodi could just leave whenever he wanted, so as soon as he stepped outside of the door. Kai was forced to stand behind the imaginary fence sensor, he was allowed to keep his abilities— again, because they literally couldn't figure out how to switch his gooey powers off.

But just because he could shapeshift doesn't mean they didn't put up sensors around the compartment for when he stepped outside of the door. There was a security guard waiting just beyond the small corridor. On call, 24 hours a day, seven days a week for as long as the brothers were on board or until Kai gained the Captain's trust. Kai shot up out of his chair, his ribs ached a little, but nothing unbearable. He smacked his lips and smiled at Bodi's back, he clasped his hands together and pleaded sarcastically. "Don't go. I'll be all alone."

And that was followed by a mocking voice from Kai, "My name is Bodi and I'm an idiot! I couldn't find a bucket of water if I dropped it in a lake!" Kai crossed his eyes and stuck his tongue out, he was certainly... animated.

"Kai—! Stop!" Bodi immediately tried to ground his brother, but he blew him a raspberry. Bodi rolled his eyes and continued out the door. "I hope someone comes in here and puts you in a straight jacket," Bodi replied, he was so flustered that pounded his entire fist on the door panel, which didn't make the door open any faster but it felt great. He turned to exit the room, and to Kai's astonishment, he forgot to press the button again to close the door. Bodi walked away. Kai paused as the door remained open, he bolted into the corridor. Freedom!
