[Y/N]
My mind is blank as I run after Ghost, making our way quickly through the small corridors as we hear faint footsteps rushing behind us.
I'm breathing heavily, my body feels numb and my mind cloudy.
It was really him.
The man who killed four.
The anger and hate i am feeling are indescribable. Now it clicks. The intel we received stated that this rich business man took the role of terrorist leader. Back then.. he was just a member. My mind is racing and I start to feel sick.
I stare at my now blood-stained gloves as I run.
God, I would've killed him. Happily. If Ghost didn't interfere he would be dead meat by now.
It felt great, but it wasn't enough. Not in the slightest.
I see Ghost's head frantically moving from left to right, trying to figure out what the quickest way out is. Until he stops in front of a large window. It looks more like the glass of an aquarium as all i can see is water, some plants and fish swimming along.
Is this the lake outside the mansion? He looks through it and nods.
''Brace yourself'' He says, and before I can react he smashes the glass with the back of the rifle.
I shield my eyes as the splinters fly, along with the icy cold water rushing out of it like a small waterfall.
''What are you doing!?'' I yell confused, and worried about the water pouring into the hallway.
The window is indeed connected to the large lake outside. The chamber where we got locked up really was in the basement.
''Swim through it'' Ghost barks at me. ''I will fend them off.''
I raise an eyebrow. ''You can't be serious!? We don't even know how deep we are!''
Ghost grumbles some curse words, as I feel the frustration within him build. He clearly doesnt like it when I question, or rather disobey, his orders.
Then we see multiple henchmen coming from all sides, like a small army.
Ghosts' eyes widen, as do mine.
I realize there is no time. I take a deep breath and push myself through the formed hole.
The water is so cold, as I am only wearing the stupid strapless gown. This wretched thing weighs a ton once wet, and I have to use all my strength to swim up.
I hear a few muffled shots. Seconds later, Ghost swims up right behind me.
I look up, focused on reaching the surface before I run out of air. Kicking my feet frantically as I reach my arms up in desperation.
I gasp for air as I break through the water surface. Ghosts head pops up right beside me, as he too coughs and struggles a bit. I now see the night has already fallen as it is dark. Barely able to see my surroundings.
''You alright?'' I ask him, my voice a bit restrained as I try to catch my breath.
''Yeah..''
I am fighting to keep my head above water as the dress drags me back down.
Ghost notices this and swims over to me, placing his arm around my waist to support the weight.
I nod at him thankfully as we make our way to the other far side of the lake, reaching the muddy ground. Pine trees just graze around the lake as it's the start of a deep thick forest.
