[Y/N]
Second time today Soap comes running into my med bay room.
''Again?'' I let out a soft chuckle, without looking up.
When Soap does not immediately respond, I do look up from the magazine I was reading.
The first time he said it was just routine and he still had adrenaline from his training as he came rushing in with sweat dripping from his forehead.
I didn't buy it then, and whatever explanation he has now I won't buy either.
A worried, pale expression on his face makes me immediately swing my legs out of the bed.
''What happened?'' I ask, my voice carrying a sense of urgency.
Soap walks over at me as he holds his hands up, like he is afraid I will do something erratic.
His silence immediately makes my heart skips a beat, my mind starting to race.
Did Night escape? Is Sarah's condition getting worse?
''Calm down Lass.'' He says calmly, his eyes still panicked. ''Everything is fine.''
''Really? That's why you come running in for the second time today?''
Soap doesn't respond as I see his eyes dart around my room. ''Did anyone else come in here today?''
I frown, as I follow his eye movement. ''No..only you and Bernice.''
Soap nods, seemingly satisfied.
Suddenly the door opens, the sound of heavy boots entering the room makes me glance behind Soap.
I immediately see his boonie style hat, thick beard and mustache, and ever so kind smile.
Captain Price.''Captain.'' I say, surprised to see him make his first appearance in my room.
''Sir.'' Soap says as he nods at Price. ''Thank you for coming so soon.''
''Seems like the occasion called for it.'' He says with his thick British accent.
I almost forgot what Price's voice sounded like. I haven't seen him since I got kidnapped. Not that I blame him. The man is extremely busy. Which is why I am so surprised by his sudden appearance.''How are you y/n?'' He looks down at me, as he shows me an even warmer smile.
I can't help but smile back. He always had a kind of father-ly energy around him.
''Doing good Sir, I am finally able to walk. Soon I will be able to recover in my own room..''
''..She is in no condition to help us.'' Soap interrupts abruptly and it makes me snap my head towards him. He looks back at me, his expression changing from worried to annoyed. It's a look I havent seen from him often, and it makes cold shivers run down my spine.
Something about seeing your cheery, kind friend like this is very unsettling.''Help you?'' I ask confused, feeling my frustration rise at the lack of answers I am getting.
Price nods at Soap as he scans me over. He seems to be contemplating something.
I feel my patience running thin as my eyes dart from Soap to Price.
''What the hell is going on!?'' I snap, folding my arms over my chest as I stare at them intently.
Price looks one more time at Soap. Soap meets his gaze and immediately lets out an exaggerated sigh.
''Your call Captain, as usual.'' He mumbles annoyed as he turns around facing the other side of the room so as not to look at us. Oh, he is pissed.
