[Ghost]
Night's words weigh heavy as I feel the cold barrel being pressed even harder against my forehead.
Y/n is barely holding herself together. Her face worried, terrified even. As she takes shaky breaths, it feels like my heart is being ripped out of my chest.
The tears in her eyes, her shaking knees.
She is begging for my life.
After all I've done to her. All the fights, all the bickering. She is almost on her knees, her hands clenched on Night's arm holding the gun. I expected her to attack him, the more aggressive route she always loves to take. I am stunned more than anything, that she didn't.
My eyes flick to Soap as he curses, yelling at Vince to stop Night. Price and Laswell are casually making eye contact as well. But the look on Price's face tells me enough.
Whatever plans he has, he needs more time.
Stalling.
I would've attacked Night already if it wasn't for that look. As much as it hurts me to see y/n like this, her pleas have a hold on both Night and Vince. Buying us the time we need.
If I attacked now, the situation would just escalate. Everyone at this scene would be in danger. Especially with most of us not being in top shape.
So I am forced to watch. Forced to see y/n gripping Night's arm tighter, desperately trying to make eye contact with him.
If she hadn't, I'm sure Night would have already put a bullet through my brain the second he removed the safety. I don't feel fear. Not of him. Never of dying.
But I do for y/n as she seems to crumble in front of me.But her words seem to hit him. As fucked up as this mans mind is, his sick sick obsession with y/n. Seeing her hurting, actually does something to him.
But when he breaks eye contact with y/n to meet mine, that murderous intent returns ever so strong. The cold stare of a killer. No, a traitor. A backstabber first hand, conspiring to have his teammate killed for his benefit.
Just as I see his finger twitch on the trigger, y/n yells.
"I'LL GO! I'LL GO!''
My eyes widen as I feel my breath hitch in my throat, along with Nights as he immediately focuses back on y/n.
She is breathing heavily as she slowly lets go of Night's arm.
''If.. if you spare his life, I will go with you.''
Like hell she will.
''Y/n..'' I growl in protest, the barrel still cold against my skin.
Her saddened eyes turn to mine, as a single tear falls down her cheek. Tears. My gaze softens at the sight of her desperation. A small smile tugs on her lips, and it sends my heart racing along with my confused mind.
''Dont you fucking dare y/n!'' Soap screams angrily, bringing me back to the moment.
Vince claps his hands together. ''It's about time, we wasted enough precious minutes here anyway.''
He holds his hand out to y/n. That wicked smile returns on his face.
''Come here, dear.'' He purrs, drawing out the words.I roar as I try to stand up, but the masked man again holds me firmly down on my knees. Not to mention Night hasn't moved an inch, making sure the barrel is still pressed on my forehead.
Y/n takes a step towards Vince, reluctantly.
''Y/n!'' I call out to her, my voice filled with emotion. She doesnt turn around, taking another step.
