I didn't really break the news to Sarah strategically, but I had no choice.
She had to know, she had to understand what, or more like who, were dealing with right now.
Her eyes widened when I broke the news to her. She was in pure shock.
We were all convinced Fours killer was just a regular soldier, doing what he was commanded to do.
None of us ever thought he would rise as the new leader after killing Red.
Her eyes darted around, trying to connect the dots.
''I'm sorry...'' I whispered to her. ''I should've told you sooner..''
Right after that Sarah and I were blindfolded by the guards, escorted to a different place.
Brought to our knees, we felt the ambiance shift.
''Siren..'' I say softly, trying to feel her presence.
''I'm here...'' She whispered back. She sits right beside me. Good.
I still wonder what Vince wants with us. Was this a combined revenge? But why only Sarah..what about Night and Atlas?
Is there a chance they will follow?
God, I hope someone will find my locket in my room. Preferably Soap.
Not even sure how Ghost would react if he found out..Will he even care? Our blindfolds are roughly yanked off our eyes, it takes me a second to adjust to the new lighting.
The shapes start to become less blurred and I try to observe this new area.
It's a big open white space, some art pieces shown in glass displays on the sides.
They mark a path towards a stage-like,elevated floor with a few steps.
On it there is a big, royal throne. With gold and gems, red velvet padding included.
Vince sits on it, his legs crossed, wearing an all black suit, with shiny leather shoes. He is staring at me and Sarah with a sly smirk, the vertical scar on his left eye evident as it runs from his eyebrow down to his cheek.
''Pretty sure that chair says don't touch.'' I snarl at him, as I watch him sit on the piece of art.
He chuckles at my comment. ''I was never one to follow orders..'' He says darkly, his tone low with a playful edge. He is clearly enjoying this, his cocky smirk never leaving his face.
Sarah lets out a quiet gasp beside me, her eyes widening as Vince's voice and appearance have convinced her that he is indeed the one who killed Four.
The realization is hitting her all over again.I remain unfazed by seeing him again. Got a good opportunity to let out my anger last time, and I will take the chance again if it arises.
''What do you want from us.'' I bark at Vince as I narrow my eyes.
''You will speak when spoken to.'' Vince growls, his tone instantly shifting as he leans a bit more forward in the chair, his arms resting on his knees.
He is like 4 to 5 meters away from us, but his stare is so penetrating I can hear Sarah swallowing.
I, however, take the staredown. He is not intimidating me today.
As I hear the guards behind me shift, I can't help but glance over my shoulder.
''Don't worry, If i wanted to hurt you i would have already..'' Vince smirks as he looks at Sarah, and then at me.
