The Russo's Lost Twins

Chapter 3

Lucas's pov

After everyone introduced themselves we started eating, I was starving but I didn't want to eat too fast so I drank some water and ate only two spoons of the pasta. “Is something wrong with the food?” Fabio asks. Everyone's attention is now on me so I look him in the eyes and say “no”. “So why aren't you eating? ”he asks. “I am just at my own pace do you have a problem with that? ” I say starting to lose my patience with him for asking me too many questions. I see him clench his jaw and he replies no.
I notice Laureline eating too fast so I pour her a glass of water knowing she'll choke and just on que she starts coughing so I give her the water. She gives me an innocent smile and I give her the slow down before it happens again look. We both only eat less than half the food and I can feel my eyelids closing so I ask where our rooms are so we can sleep. “Emilio will show you ” says Fabiano and we walk out not bothering to say goodnight.

Emilio shows us Lia's room first and it is beautiful and I can already see that she has fallen in love with it because she's never had a room of her own. “And here's your room” he says to me and it is facing Lia's room which makes me feel way better.

“It's so dark... like you” Lia says with a smile as she peeks inside. “They even have walk in closets and our own bathrooms, don't you love it Luca? ” “It's alright ” I say hiding the small smile on my face from her. She hugs me and says “I know you love it”. I take my clothes from the bag and give it back to her. I put the money we took from David's bed and put it in a drawer in the walk in closet. I know it'll take Lia a while to get used to her new room so I'll sleep with her until she's comfortable on her own.

In the morning, I see Lia sleeping like a log so I go and shower before I have to wake her up. After struggling to wake her up, she goes to showers and I start drawing on a book I found by her desk.

We walk down and Lia greets everyone, for the both of us.
I grab one toast and black coffee with no sugar.
Lia takes fruits and cereal.
“You guys want more food there's bacon and who doesn't love bacon” says Daniella
“No thanks Daniella, I'm good” I can see that she's hurt that I called her by her name but I'm not comfortable calling her my mom.
Lia takes a slice of bacon and her big eyes couldn't get bigger. She starts ranting very softly about trying it but I keep refusing and our little argument gets everyone's attention. When I open my mouth to tell her to f*ck off, she stuffs it in my mouth. To be honest it was good but I wasn't gonna give her the satisfaction of knowing so I roll my eyes.

Someone clears their throat and we both look up to see Fabio “Since you two are done eating we need to go over the rules, come with me. ”
We enter his office, it is neat and tidy and it suits him well.

“Rules, number 1. No swearing Number 2. Do not disrespect your elders
Number 3. No boyfriend's or girlfriends
Number 4. Wear appropriate clothes
Number 5. There's a curfew, lights out at 10 pm on week days and 11:30 pm on weekends
Number 6. We expect good grades from the both of you and seeing as your marks aren't bad but aren't good either you're gonna have to work harder.
Number 7. The most important thing, no having sex,it only brings trouble and desease.
Any questions? ”
“No” we say in unison
“Actually yes” I said and at the same time the two older brothers came into the office.
“You all seem filthy rich and I wanna know where the money comes from. What do you guys do”
“We run a bunch of business in trade, pharmaceuticals , hotels and restaurants, it's a family business it's been going on since before we were born” Says Lucian.
I give him a nod and as we're about to leave Fabio says the words I hate school.
“You'll be attending school with Lorenzo, Carter and Emilio. It's a good private school”.
I look at the three men and grab Lia's hand and we're out the door.
