I spent the whole day wondering why Laureline is so naive. I guess it's my fault for hardly ever giving her a reality check but it didn't matter even if I did, she always ignores me.
During recess I spot Mandy and I push her into an empty room. “Stay away from my sister. ”I say with a face blank of emotion.
“Why would I do that, Laureline's my friend”she says with a wicked smile. “You can't choose your sister's friends Luca” using Lia's nickname for me. She pushes me off knowing that I wouldn't hurt her after what happened on the first day with Tyler, it'll only get me in trouble. Lia was so busy with her friends she didn't even notice me, I felt irritated by the sound of those girls laughter so I went out to the bleachers by the football field. I sat there reading a book Enzo gave me, drinking my water.
“Yo, Lucas! ” Carter shouts coming to the bleachers with 2 of his friends and Enzo.
“Sup”
“This Ryan and Peter. Where's Laureline you never leave her side, this is new for you. ”Carter says
“She's with her new friends. What can you tell me about Mandy, black hair, brown eyes, tall, obnoxious voice ”
“She's part of the cheerleading squad, captain to be exact. The only reason she's captain is because her dad funds the school so she can get whatever she wants. A bully and a whore. She practically throws herself at guys, she lives for attention. She doesn't even treat her friends right. Why? Does someone have a crush?” Peter asks
Fuck no, no way in hell, never. “No, Laureline thinks that Mandy's her new bestie” I say in a monotone
“Talk to her, make her understand that this Mandy bitch isn't good for her cause she won't listen to me” I say to my brothers
They nod their heads and go back wherever they came from.

I was honestly shocked when Lucas asked us to watch out for Laureline. At least we know he doesn't hate us, he cares so much for Laureline and so do we, I hope one day he'll be able to see that.
When we got home after school, Lucas went to go take a nap and this was the right time to talk to Laureline about her new friends. I knock on the door
“Hey” Carter says
“Hi” Laureline replies
“How was your second day of school?” I say with a laughter remembering what happened on Monday.
“It was good”
“We saw you with Mandy at lunch today.”
“Yeah, she's my classmate”
“Laureline, we came here to warn you about Mandy she's not a really good person.”I say
“Did Luca send you here?”she says in an almost irritated manner
“No, we came on our own. We've known Mandy since preschool, she's not a great person. We just wanna look out for you as all you're our little sister, we don't need you getting hurt by anyone. ”Carter explains
“I understand where you're coming from but Mandy told me all that, she said she's changed and no body is willing to give her a chance. She seems really sorry for what she did to everyone” Laureline says innocently
“Okay but be careful around her and her minions-”I say with a stern voice
“ You mean her friends” Laughs Laureline
“Yeah” Carter and I say in unison

We go to the kitchen and see Lucas there pouring himself a glass of Dad's whiskey.  “What are you doing” Carter whispers as if there are people in the house.
“I'm pouring myself a drink. What does it look like? ” He says in a bored tone
“But that's Dad's ”I try to explain  “Your dad shouldn't mind if I take a glass and how would he know. Are you gonna snitch? Snitches get stitches you know ” He says seriously
Sigh why does he have to be this way.
“Do you do this often?”
“Stealing your Dad's alcohol? Yeah” he says with a devilish smirk
He's gonna die when Dad finds out
