A dream come true

can I come along?

Everything around me felt rushed, I was tensed while others were busy getting their gear ready,

"Pack all you need, no risks this time. We get there and attack with all our forces, no holding back." Captain instructed everyone,

Mr. Stark was making last minute modification in his helmet in lab with help of Jarvis while others rushed to their respected area of need, Ms. Pepper stood right at the door knowing he's going on a dangerous mission again, but he's doing it for someone they love so she knew she couldn't stop him,

"Expect the unexpected, we don't know how much power they hold this time." Captain's voice kept echoing in everyone's ears,

Hawkeye collected all the arrows he needed for this mission as he was about to need it all.

Back widow tucked the extra magazine in her belt and all other weapons she knew she was going to need, her determined eyes reflected the gun in her hand that she loaded before placing it in its place,

"Has anyone informed Fury?" She asked,

"I did, him and Coulson are on their way." Hawkeye replied,

I watched them from outside the room, staring at them all as they got ready with their suits and weapons with an awe, one thing was sure was that they will not come back with a failure this time, I was happy to be on their side and not against them. they were sure to finish the job this time.

Captain America walked past me to enter the room with his mighty sheild in his hand, it reflected the light like a shining hope for us all, suddenly I wasn't so scared as if being around him was enough to give me hopes that it will be alright.

"Did you get everything you need?"

"Almost." Hawkeye replied,

"We don't have all day." Captain replied before looking back to notice me standing right outside the door, he gave me the most hopeful and sweetest smile that said 'we got you'

It washed all my leftover worries and doubts. However, there was still something inside me that told me to not stay here,

"Can I come along?"

"That's not even a question, kid. you will not come with us."

"Why not?"I asked walking inside as well,

"I'm not gonna argue on this one." He replied to me before walking out as I followed behind,

"But I wanna join in the fight."

"You cannot and will not."

"But-"

"Diya.." he called me with my name for the first time before turning back to face me, "...this is not a game, you will not come back to life if you die. You've had plenty of experience with death until now, we won't risk another."

"It's different this time, now I can control my powers, I just fought them and won like two hours ago."

"And look what happened to you in return." He said before getting down on his knees and removing hair from my face again to reveal bandages, "there won't be few guards but a whole army with weapons and tanks and on top of that they have power of tesseract and Loki's scepter. This will be a full fledged war, We don't know what we're getting into and we won't risk your life again...remember that we're doing this to protect you."

"This whole thing is happening and I'm in middle of it all, I need to be there and fight." I removed his hand from my face held it tight between us, "Cap, I'm tired of running away and hiding, I want it to end once and for all otherwise my whole life I'll be afraid and everyone will lock me inside some room. that's not how I wanna end my life."
