"what better way to cap off this exciting exhibition of karate than with the final match for the ages?" daryl spoke to them all. "representing cobra kai, the queen cobra herself... tory nichols."

the audience rose in applause, those who supported cobra kai were waving around their black and yellow balloons.

"coached by her senseis john kreese and terry silver." daryl then pointed over to the team in red. "and representing eagle fang karate, their eagle empress... gioia barbusca!"

gioia smiled as she could see her mother and father cheering with the crowd, carmen and yaya beside them. in their hands were red balloons that they waved around during their cheers. her father was now even wearing a red shirt with their logo on it, making her wonder where exactly he acquired it.

"coached by her sensei since the beginning, johnny lawrence and who i've just been informed will be joined by two time all valley champion, daniel larusso!"

daniel jogged over to daryl and whispered in his ear before stepping back over to the corner of the mat.

"my deepest apologies. sensei johnny lawrence is also a fellow two time all valley champion!"

gioia turned back to look at the two men with a smile, she was glad they had managed to put aside their differences to coach her. even more surprised johnny decided to suppress the way he felt about daniel teaching miguel and herself.

"you ready to kick some ass?" johnny grinned.

"yes sensei!" gioia shouted back, filled with excitement. she had temporarily repressed the depressing feeling she was overwhelmed with after she talked with miguel.

"nichols is going to fight aggressive, you know that more than anyone." johnny told her. "and while you're still a little weak in the strength department-" how wrong he was. terry had spent most of their training time on her strength and speed.

"is this really the right time to tell her that?"

"just give me a second, larusso." johnny shushed him. "your technique is unbeatable. you're quick, precise and coordinated. but to win this, you need to catch her by surprise."

"yes, sensei!"

"gioia, i want you to win more than anything. whether you use offence or defence. eagle fang or miyagi do, i know you can do this." daniel encouraged her. "you just have to find that balance."

"go kick some cobra kai ass." he finalised.

"you've got this, gb." sam gave her a reassuring smile.

"this is so exciting!" demetri exclaimed. "two old friends now enemies fighting-"

"dude." eli cut him off, quickly making his way to the front of her. he placed his hand in her own and kissed her cheek. "good luck, okay?"

"okay, champ." she nodded.
