"sweet. thanks, aurora. tell rico i said hey." eli moskowitz gave his new tattoo artist a fist bump as he sat up from the chair.

"wow. man, you are really going all-in on miyagi-do, huh?" demetri alexopoulos stepped over to him, tossing his shirt at him.

"its a lotus flower." eli chuckled. "symbolises a new beginning, which is what i have now."

mikayla omar smiled at that. "how is it going with you and gioia?"

eli playfully shoved her in the shoulder. "acting like you don't know everything already."

"i just wanted to hear your point of view." she shrugged with a smile.

"i mean, she just got back last night. so we haven't really had much time to meet face to face." eli explained. "but i really hope she wants to get back together."

"i hope so too, man." demetri sighed. "you are so boring without her."

"wow, thanks." eli scoffed, his hand tracing against his aching chest. "besides, the reaper was a b¡tch to cover up. so a giant flower was the only option."

"it works." demetri shrugged.

"it looks really good, dude." mickey gave him a smile, admiring his new mark.

"hey, miguel. you good?" demetri asked, his gaze now on the boy sighing in one of the waiting seats.

"yeah." he nodded, standing up. "uh, tired from the trip is all." he stepped over to them, giving eli a thumbs up and a smile, silently complementing his tattoo.

"well i mean, yeah, you spent how many hours in a car with robby?" eli asked.

"yeah, i've never seen you around him without a john wick-style fight breaking out." demetri joked.

"for sensei's sake, i've trying not to let it get to that. even if he deserves it." miguel explained. "and gioia was squeezed in the middle of us anyways, so it wasn't too bad. robby says he's done with cobra kai, though. we'll see how that goes."

miguel's phone chimed, making eli perk up. "is that sam? she finally text back?"

"yeah. says she wants to, uh, talk tonight." miguel told him before stuffing his phone in his blue jeans back pocket.

demetri hissed and the two boys shared a knowing glance.

"what did she say exactly?"

"we should talk tonight." miguel read out before seeing their distraught faces. "what?"

"it says.... we should talk?" demetri sighed. "oh, brother, you're in deep."

"she's right. we should talk." miguel tried to defend himself. "last time we spoke, we had a fight."
