Scott's response to my question was palpable, as he let out a sigh before meeting my gaze. I could tell he was carefully considering his reply. His eyes lit up with a hint of amusement. "Hmm... if I'm going to be a dad? That's quite a good question," he replied, a smile playing on his lips. "If it happens, I'll be the happiest. Maybe I'll be the most hands-on father in the world."

I pressed further, "What if your career as an actor rises at the same time?"

Scott's smile faded into a thoughtful expression. "Well, that's quite a question, though, but balancing my career and family is important to me. I don't really know how to proceed with your question because career and family are both important and both different in some aspects. I don't even want to experience the fact that I'll leave home and not be there for my kids. But I do wish that day would come. Maybe we can start making plans now."

"Wait, I'm just going to get something for a moment!" I said, trying to contain my excitement.

"Okay, I'll be in the kitchen cooking us some dinner," Scott replied with a warm smile.

I felt a surge of excitement upon hearing Scott's confident response to my questions, and I couldn't help but think that the time was right to share my news with him—that I am now one month pregnant.

Carefully choosing the perfect way to reveal this life-changing information, I quietly descended the stairs, where I observed Scott cooking, a loving and thoughtful gesture that made me feel cherished, especially since I had been feeling somewhat uneasy all day.

Remembering our promise to be honest and open with each other, I realized that this was the perfect moment to share my truth with him. I wanted him to know that he could count on me as his partner, and I wanted us to embrace this next chapter in our lives together. As I stood quietly in the kitchen, a sense of anticipation filled me, knowing that our lives were about to change in a significant and beautiful way.

"You said you were going to get something upstairs. Where is it?" Scott inquired, his attention divided between the ingredients on the counter and the task at hand.

"This is it," I said, a hint of excitement coloring my voice. "It's a surprise, a little token of appreciation for being so understanding and supportive these past few weeks. We've had a productive day, and I just wanted to say thank you."

Scott paused, turning to face me with a genuine smile. "Oh, babe, sorry if I don't have a gift for you. Next time, I promise."
I chuckled lightly. "This dinner is more than enough. So, thank you. This is my gift for you; open it!"

His eyes lit up as I handed him a tiny box. With playful teasing, he deliberately drew out the suspense, pretending to debate whether to open it or not. It was a habit of his that I found endearing, even though it sometimes tested my patience. Finally, he opened the box and pulled out the pregnancy test kit.

As the realization dawned upon him, his eyes widened, and a mixture of shock and joy washed over his features. "Two red lines," he murmured, his voice filled with wonder.

I held my breath, silently observing his reaction, my heart pounding against my ribcage. After a moment of stunned silence, his gaze lifted to meet mine, and a radiant smile spread across his face. "Are you serious?" he exclaimed, his tone a mix of disbelief and overwhelming happiness.

"Yes," I replied, unable to contain my own smile as tears of joy welled up in my eyes. "We're going to have a baby!"

The kitchen seemed to be filled with electric energy as Scott processed the news. He wrapped his arms around me in a tight embrace, the warmth of his embrace enveloping me as his excitement matched mine. "I can't believe it," he whispered, his voice filled with emotion.

As we held each other, the magnitude of this moment sank in. There were so many emotions swirling within me—excitement, nervousness, and an overwhelming sense of love for this man who stood before me, ready to embark on this new chapter of our lives together.

He pulled away, his eyes shimmering with unshed tears as he cupped my face in his hands. "This is incredible, Danni. I can't even put it into words."

"I know," I said, my own voice trembling with emotion. "It's a lot to take in. But I couldn't wait any longer to share this with you."

He kissed me softly, his touch tender and filled with unspoken promises for our future. As we stood there in the kitchen, surrounded by the aroma of the meal Scott had been preparing, I felt the weight of uncertainty lift from my shoulders. In that moment, I knew that whatever challenges lay ahead, Scott and I were in it together.

Scott's elation at the news of becoming a father was evident in his exuberant behavior. He could hardly contain his joy, gleefully screaming and beaming with excitement at every turn.

Even as we awaited our next doctor's appointment, his anticipation and happiness at the prospect of fatherhood remained palpable. However, we found ourselves attracting the attention of inquisitive onlookers who sought to capture this special moment on camera, a distraction that Scott simply brushed aside.

"Let them be. There are more important things for us to focus on, now that we're going to be parents. Don't worry, I've got you," he reassured me, squeezing my hand warmly.
