Over time, I can't shake the feeling that something is amiss. The way people are acting around me, the meticulous planning, Scott's formal demeanor, the scripted wedding vows, my outfit, the music, even the choice of singer—it all seems too perfect.

It's a strange sensation, but it's almost as if I am the one who is supposed to be getting married today. Unbeknownst to me, my gut feeling was spot on right from the moment I found myself hidden behind that imposing white curtain. When the crew approached me and signaled for me to walk down the aisle, tears welled up in my eyes, betraying my emotions once again. Always the sensitive one in the group, it seems.

The curtains drew back, unveiling the surprise that had been kept hidden from me all along. Tears streamed down my face as I made my way down the aisle towards Scott and our son, who stood waiting. However, before I could reach them, my fathers enveloped me in a warm embrace, adding to the overwhelming joy of this unforgettable moment of my life.

Through tears, I choked on my words, "Papsi, what is happening? Is this your doing?"

"No, sweetheart. This was all Scott's doing," Papsi replied, a smile in his voice.

"Yeah, he wanted everything to be a surprise because he knew this day would arrive. He had it all planned out, and you should have faith in him, Danni. Now, shall we escort you down the aisle, our beautiful daughter?" Dad added, his words filled with pride and love.

I smiled through hidden tears as the music played on while we walked down the aisle. Every step brought us closer to the wedding arch, where Scott stood, carrying our Luke waiting for me. As we approached them, I felt a surge of excitement in my stomach, like a fluttering mass of butterflies.

"Hello, Mama, you look absolutely stunning," Scott greeted me, playfully squeezing Luke's hand to nudge him forward.

"Happy Birthday, my sweet little cowboy. Happy birthday," I whispered to my son, planting a gentle kiss on his forehead before Papsi whisked him from Scott's embrace.

After wiping away our tears and regaining composure, Scott clasped my hand in his, and together, we stood beneath the warm, radiant afternoon sun, ready to embark on a journey to forever.

Savoring the moment, the gentle breeze carried the soft scent of blooming flowers as we exchanged heartfelt glances. The gentle murmur of the guests mingled with the melodies played by the string quartet, creating a harmonious backdrop to our special day. As we stood beneath the delicate arch entwined with fresh blooms, I felt a sense of serenity wash over me despite the lingering nerves.

Scott's touch was reassuring, his hand warm against mine, grounding me in the reality of the moment. I stole a quick glance at Luke, our little ray of sunshine, who was now in the arms of my father. His innocent gaze and infectious smile filled me with a profound sense of love and gratitude.

The entire ensemble of actors and crew gathered unexpectedly for our impromptu wedding, surrounded by our dearest friends and family. Among the joyful faces were Scott's family, especially his father, beaming with happiness. As I stood before Scott, my heart was filled with profound respect and gratitude for all he had done to make this day possible, knowing that the ceremony had not yet started.

"My soon-to-be wife, Danni, with love and admiration, I expressed my heartfelt appreciation for your willingness to entrust me with your heart again, acknowledging the uncertainties that come with embracing the unknown. Losing the connection we share made me realize the depths of my own fears, too, mirroring the uncertainties you had faced I didn't realized. I vowed to stand by your side through it all, just as you had always done for me. Daniella Dee, to the woman who stole my heart, to the woman who taught me to be myself, know that I'll be here always in all ways, will you marry me?"

He knelt down, retrieving the ring that I had returned to him before, solidifying my decision not only to keep it now but also to keep him by my side forever. With a heart full of emotion, I wholeheartedly accepted his proposal with a resounding "yes!"

The overwhelming happiness that enveloped us as we officially got engaged on the day of our wedding prompted the officiant, who would oversee the union of Scott and me, to make his entrance onto the scene.

As the officiant took his place in front of all of us and began to speak, the world seemed to fade away, leaving only Scott and me in our own bubble of love and commitment.
