I've been staring at a cute bungalow house for over twenty minutes now, inside my car as my nerves racking in anxiety.

Soft music are blasting inside the house. I even saw few people come and go. You can tell that the party right now is intimate. No big crowds or whatsoever.

I was expecting a grand birthday party, you know like media's involved or so like that pero hindi ganun eh! Masaya pa naman akong isipin na hindi ako gaanong mapapansin kapag maraming bisita sa party ngunit heto ang nadatnan ko, intimate party! Shit ka!

I don't know why I couldn't make myself ring their doorbell. I'm so nervous to even breathe. I don't even know why I'm so scared, that's why I'm rotting here in my car, having a mental crisis right now.

Nanlalambot kong inalis ang pagkapatong ng ulo ko sa steering wheel at napatingin sa bouquet ng bulaklak at sa jewelery box na birthday gift ko sa asawa ni Inka.

Napabuntong hininga naman agad ako ng isiping malapit nang maagnas ang boquet na dala ko kung magtatagal pa ako rito.

I decided to get my shit together and take a leap of faith, kinuha ko na ang boquet at ang jewelery box na nakapatong sa passenger seat ko at lumabas na ng sasakyan.

As I look at the house in front of me, di ko magawang mapatanong kung tama ba talaga ang address na binigay ni Inka sa akin. This house is so small for a person who owns a famous engineering firm here in the Philippines.

Bahay ba niya talaga to? Dito ba talaga sila nakatira ng asawa niya?

Di ko na mapigilan pang mapakamot na lang sa batok ko sa pagtataka at sa hiya na rin. Baka gusto lang talaga ni Inka ang simpleng pamumuhay kaya hindi na marangya ang bahay niya.

She already have a treasure she owned eh, a wife and a daughter. Sobra pa yan sa yaman na makakamit mo dito sa mundo.

Lumapit na ako sa front door nila at nag dadalawa pang nag doorbell na rito. I quickly check myself if I look good or something's wrong with me as I wait for someone to open the door.

Agad akong napahinga ng maluwag nang malamang ayus pa naman ang ayos ko. I still look like a decent human being with a crippling anxiety brewing inside.

My heart quickly skip a beat when I heard a footstep from inside getting nearer the frontdoor. My heart sunk when the door finally opened and Desmond's beautiful face with a bored look came into my view.

Nagkatitigan kami saglit at pareho pang napaatras konti sa gulat. At nang parehong nakarekober ay agad rin kaming napaiwas ng tingin sa isa't isa.

Hiyang napahawak naman ako sa batok habang siya'y na b-bored lang na nakatayo sa harapan ko.

“Uhm, H-hi——” I was quickly cut off when a muscular man emerged from her behind. A sweet smile quickly plastered on Desmond's as she look at the man who is now holding her on her waist as he smile at her too, obviously still oblivious to my presence.

My brows quickly knitted with each other when he kissed her on her cheeks.

“Gotta go Babe. Hindi na ako magtatagal.” ani nito at agad ring napatigil nang kusang mapalingon na siya sa gawi ko. He look so shock to see me standing in front of them as nervousness lingering in his stares towards me.

Nagsukatan agad kami ng tingin na parang hinahamon namin ang isa't isa. I don't know why my blood quickly boiled in anger when I saw him pulled Desmond towards him as if he was protecting her towards me.
