Van number three

Van number three led the convoy, driven by Omen with his wife Viper in the passenger seat. The soothing hum of the engine filled the van as they cruised along the scenic route, the lush greenery passing by in a blur.

Viper leaned over to Omen and whispered, "Brimstone's sound asleep."

Omen glanced at the rearview mirror and smiled. "Let him rest. I know the way. He's been working non-stop lately, and he deserves a break."

Curiosity flickered in Viper's eyes. "How could you possibly know the way? You're not secretly keeping things from me, are you?"

Omen shook his head, a faint smile playing on his lips. "No secrets, my dear. I planned this trip. I asked Kingdom to give us some time off for rest and relaxation."

Viper's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "You did?"

Omen nodded. "Yes. They obliged. It seems like they still consider me as an important person."

Viper's expression softened as she realized Omen's intentions. "You're trying to look out for everyone, aren't you?"

Omen shrugged modestly. "People like Brimstone and Sova... They'd never admit that they're exhausted. I'm just trying to help."

Viper raised an eyebrow playfully. "Are you sure you're not just trying to sneak in some leisure time and skip out on work?"

Omen's smile widened. "Maybe a little of both."

As Omen and Viper continued their conversation, Viper couldn't help but admire how much Omen had changed since his transformation. She reached out and gently brushed a strand of hair away from his face.

"You've really come a long way, haven't you?" she remarked softly.

Omen turned to look at her, his eyes reflecting a sense of gratitude. "It's all thanks to you," he replied sincerely. "You never stopped lighting my way back."

Viper smiled, feeling a warmth spread through her chest. "Well, I'm just glad to have you back," she said, her voice filled with affection.

Omen's smile widened, and he reached out to take her hand in his. "You changed too, you know?" he admitted, squeezing her hand gently.

As Omen and Viper exchanged playful banter, Deadlock's voice broke through their reverie with a throaty chuckle. "Looks like the lovebirds forgot they're not alone in here."

Omen turned to see Deadlock smirking at them from behind, and he couldn't help but grin sheepishly. "Guess we got a little carried away. Thought everyone was asleep."

Deadlock raised an eyebrow teasingly before stretching her arms and shoulders. "I was. But all that cheesy flirting woke me up."

Glitch's voice chimed in from behind Deadlock. "Yeah, I heard the whole thing too. How sweet," he said as he rubbed his eyes.

Viper laughed, a warm and melodic sound. "Well, we're a married couple now, so there's no need to be embarrassed about a little flirting, right?"

Omen nodded in agreement, his smile widening. "Exactly. Just keeping the romance alive."

Deadlock rolled her eyes playfully. "Oh, get a room, you two."

Glitch leaned back in his seat, letting the warmth of the setting sun wash over him. As he listened to the laughter and chatter of his companions, he couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment wash over him. It was moments like these that made all the trials and challenges they faced seem worth it.
