The prompt consult with the doctor on the way home confirmed that Ishmal was already three weeks pregnant. She seemed so glad and delighted over this revelation that Unaiza too forgot her own issues in her happiness for a while. Her insides were clenching after seeing that unforgettable moment but she had kept a mask of calmness over her exterior.
She genuinely felt satisfied for Haider as he moved on in his life and he found Ishmal to help him explore the beauty of this world which he had left far behind in the race. This news would bring so much joy for everyone including Aqia and Tashfeen that they were going to become grandparents again. And of course, the three-year-old Jannat who would get her younger sibling very soon.
When they reached home, this news really brought a surreal feeling for everyone when Ishmal announced it. Aqia hugged her and kissed her forehead while Tashfeen gave his blessings to them. Unaiza knew Haider wouldn't show any PDA but the way his eyes warmed and he had a natural smile over his lips was enough of an indication that he was very appreciative of this new addition to their life as well.
Staying among them, Unaiza learned to live in the moment. She avoided any memory of that bone-chilling sight where her husband was hugging another woman. It wasn't even cheating because she had it all coming and Huzaifa never hid anything from her. She should have geared up to prepare herself for this. It was bound to happen yet she felt an immense pain in her heart as she saw Huzaifa and Inaya together. She herself made this choice and she had to make peace with it.
She got more than her worth and more than what she expected. In normal circumstances, a guy like Huzaifa would have never married her. But when this marriage occurred, he already had Inaya as his fiance. There was a high chance Huzaifa would have acted horribly to her because he was forced to be with her but he didn't. He looked after her, he gave her attention and he took care of her rights.
