-CHAPTER 7-
—♤
Embarrassingly enough, the second you got home you closed yourself in your bathroom, and leaned against the door, after a few moments you were sitting against it, your head limp in your hands. 'I gotta fix this. Fucking hell, if Guy notices..' You had to curse yourself quietly, running your fingers under the collar of your shirt, over parts of your shoulder.
Taking a moment to pause, you rested your head back on the door. You had to tell them. At least. . .get them to find out, because this cannot happen again. Hell, however it was supposed to come off as, you may not have the best reaction next time. Uh..
Okay, to be honest with yourself, you weren't talking about just the bite anymore.
Back when the plexs' power finally turned back on, you decided to escort the two workers out—mainly because they were scared of running into a manager, and you were technically one of their bosses now so. . . Of course, Moon followed with once you agreed, though he didn't exactly specify why, nobody paid too much mind.
You gave the two a wave off, and through your smile spoke quietly, "See? Less company."
"That curious, are we?"
You stuffed your hands back into your sweater, turning away from the door, and glancing up at him. "I mean, yeah," You shrugged, "You said it in a weird way, and this is a conversation starter." Moon replied in a short hum to the first part, turning and going back to the daycare, assuming you'd follow. "Cat. . ." You heard him mention quietly, and you took a quick pep in your step to catch up. "Hey, if your attitude towards me is gonna get me killed after a question then-"
You cut yourself off quickly, once Moon slowed down his walking, he watched you closely, but before you could ask, 'what..?' Moon pressed a finger against the center of your collarbone, "Ooh, Starlight. . . You still owe me."
. . .
"Wha- but-" You stammered out, and he pulled away his hand, starting to walk again. "-come on, you only said, 'in less company',,." You finally continued. "Hmm. . . I suppose that's fair."
You started to smile, tilting your head a bit, "woah, really?" You asked, "Just like that?" You had to refrain from laughing at yourself, yet Moon couldn't help but glance back at you hearing the sudden excitement in your voice. That's. . .new.. His shoulders dropped a bit, a quiet humming sound from his voiceboxcould barely be heard, it was like a mockery of a sigh.
