-CHAPTER 16-

-
"Soo.... you have a way to get home, right?" Sun asked, his elbows were propped up on the desk in front of you.
Ah, right.
He, of everyone, probably knew Xavier would be staying 'late' today. "Well, like you said before, I've figured it out before. I'll just take the public bus." You didn't hate the bus. . .yet it wasn't too much fun, either. It didn't matter, though. You knew you'd need to get used to this again.

Or maybe you could just live at the Plex... haha... yeah, no, you knew you'd need to be crazy to consider that. Besides.. you liked home.
You didn't really... have anyone other than those in the Plex, yet your house was grounding. Like a quick reset... a reminder that you were still in the real world, that your purpose didn't revolve around a daycare and some-really cool-robots.

-
You were practically stressing over your stupid dumb phone the day after. You went to work without Guy giving you a ride, and he's still not responded.
Were you... worried? You didn't know. Even if you were trying to break up with him... he was still your boyfriend before. The silence was both concerning, yet also pissing you the hell off.

You checked multiple times to see if it was just your notification settings or what not... maybe you shouldn't have been so surprised when Sun checked on you.
"It's.. fine." You sighed. There wasn't really a point in getting upset over something that's probably stupid anyway. "I hope he's not just trying to avoid what I want to talk about."
The comment was directed at workers B and C, since you did end up telling them both your plan, but Sun got curious over it-not that you had an issue over him asking, of course not. "Talk about -?" He repeated, tilting his head just slightly. "About what?"

"I'm breaking up with him. At least next time we meet in person, I will." You didn't like how he winced at that. Did he not like that information...? Last you checked, Sun didn't like Guy at ALL. "-what?" Maybe it was better to keep quiet, you didn't know.

Sun stared for a few minutes. He seemed confused over what you were confused about, but it didn't take too long for it to click, and once it did, he quickly turned sheepish. "Oh! I just. . . You sounded really... normal-? About that kind of topic -" He mumbled, though it made sense. . . You did feel kind of bad about it. Then again, you doubted Sun had much more than experience from the employees and children / teenagers talking.

"Break ups are kinda common lately, aren't they?" You added, maybe you could stray the topic onto some tea.. or something. "Eh, it's not like being in relationships is permanent. Even if the topic is kinda... taboo, even June's parents are parting, and they made oaths to each other." Worker C added, and worker A only shrugged in response.

Sun's expression shifted a couple of times, but you really couldn't tell if he was thinking or talking to you-know-who. "Are you okay, Sun?" You asked, cutting through the short silence.
"That's a silly question.. of course I am!" He hummed, rocking back on his heels, though his wide smile started to falter. "I.. uhm.. I just didn't think about that.. I guess?"
