-Chapter 22-

-
"I want to talk to them... aww they're so cute... I really want to wake them up!"

. . .

"I know that! But I just- okay.. nevermind. They need the rest. Poor thing! I hope that they're not mean to us now. They didn't seem too happy about their 'friend'."

. . .

"That's not fair, Moon. You agreed we'd take them back here anyway! Plus, it was only Aria. You know how little they reacted to the electrical worker! You do!"

There was that interval you had briefly woken up. You didn't try to move, you were hardly conscious enough to think about it. Sun's voice was slightly muffled, so in another room, then? But it was clear he was just talking to himself.. actually, given the empty pauses between each sentence, was more likely, Moon. That was the only thing you processed at that time.
This half-awake state happened a few times, like your body kept pumping the pathetic amounts of energy it could to wake you up, to get your fight or flight going, to make you feel in danger.

The drugs did their job well.

You could hardly tell how many times you must've briefly woken, since most of the time there was nothing noteworthy that differed from the usual empty subconscious. Nothing to remember. The first time, there was a cold pressure holding your face oh-so-gently, the second time is when you heard Sun.... from there is where your memory blanked.

Eventually, you did finally wake up. Your brain instantly scanning anything around you that you could pick up.
Daycare kids screaming and laughing, the squeaking of shoes against slides... you were still in the Daycare, you were still alive.

Only after that comforting notice was when you tried opening your eyes, it didn't work, of course; your eyes were already open. Then why couldn't you see anything?
It hit you quickly, and you pulled at your arms, your ankles, nothing gave way. You wanted to curse, grind your teeth together, but something in your mouth made your jaw ache. It prevented any movement. It stayed fastened in place with fabrics tied to the back of your head.

Your head ached, but luckily, it didn't feel like a hangover or anything, just like your brain had been both overstimulated and stressed.

Okay, think Y/n, you berated yourself, shaking your head as much as you could to clear your thoughts... how did you get here? You remembered leaving the daycare.. yet couldn't recall much after that, and that was scary. Your brain remembered a mental photo of Sun's hand.. his soothing tone trying to relax you.

Whatever that was in your mouth prohibited any words from spilling, though you could still vocalize a little. When testing it out, the sound closest to a whimper escaped your throat. You swore Sun's talking got slightly louder as it did.
Were you just hyper-focused, or did he hear that? There's no way. He's can't hear such a little sound from where you were while he was talking... no way. And if he could, then you were in for a definite harder time.

Tilting up your head and looking straight down, strained your eyes a bit, but you could see a sliver of light peeking through the cloth. You could see your lap, your knees tied with a blanket from naptime, and the floor reminded you of Sun and Moon's room.. of course. Where else would you be? The other thing you noticed quickly was the fact that you did, in fact, still have the same clothes on. Just had to make sure.

You couldn't make out anything else. With a click, the lights fell dark, any vision you once had was completely stripped. The voice shifted from Sun, to Moon, as expected, before you heard two other voices join the mix.
"Single file... right, good job. June, follow C and get everyone to the theater?" You registered B's voice.

You had been so caught up in your situation that you had momentarily forgotten about them. Though.. it only hit you with another thought. They had no idea.. did they? What happens when they notice you're gone? You could try and use that towards Moon to convince him to let you go. Sun was the one that practically dragged you up here.. right? If anyone would listen it'd probably be Moon. Besides.. your last few encounters with him have been.. kind of sweet?

Is it naive? You hissed at yourself. Moon had been out all night, if he didn't stop by and free you then, why would he now? You knew Sun couldn't keep something like this a secret from Moon.
But. . . It was still some kind of chance. You needed to try before this gets too far.

"Do you want me to stay in the daycare with you, Moon?" You heard worker A ask innocently. "-I could help clean.. or whatever. Probably would be better if someone stayed here, right?" Her voice was muffled, but it didn't make you any less annoyed.

Get a hold of yourself. . . You needed to shoved down any feelings that made you jealous. If you left... would she try to replace you? Sun and maybe Moon had killed Aria. Tied you up in a chair in their room, knock you out to get you up here. Yet.. a co-worker trying to spend time with your captor(s?) made you wish you had kissed Sun infront of them.
Just a little bit.

You didn't hear Moon, he probably didn't vocally respond, but there has to be some kind of communication since Worker A said something you couldn't hear from the room, it was quiet, and almost a grumble. She seemed to have left along with the others, given the echoing thud of the door and the sudden squeal of the wire descending.
Nothing happened. Yet you knew that Moon was moving about the daycare, he knew you were there, and that there was nothing stopping him from visiting you.

The thought almost embarrassed you, but you needed to remind yourself again of the situation you were in. Who cares if you were embarrassed? This had to violate like 4 of your rights.. at least most morals as well. You should hate them for this, at least be pissed, you knew that. Yet somehow, you felt like this was your own fault.

You heard a quiet jingle from what sounded like a soft step just a few feet away from you, and you flinched... hard. You hadn't processed how Moon gotten up there so quickly, quietly, that knowing he was right.. there, almost scared you.

"How are you feeling, little star..?" You heard him ask gently, as if this was normal, it was okay, as if he didn't need to explain anything. There was a cold pressure against your face, felt like his hand. Even when he swiftly removed the piece from your mouth, you didn't say anything. Was he actually expecting an answer-?
Moon let out a sigh, tilting your head slightly. You guessed he was looking you over, "If you're nauseous, I'd reccomended you say so. What Sun used... it had you unconscious for.. a while."

You winced internally at that. How long is a while? What did Sun use? "I.." you started, but instead ducked your head away from his hand, you wished he had taken off your blindfold too. Moon didn't fight it. He pulled his hand back to his own space, but he couldn't deny he was slightly annoyed.
"Don't want to speak? Fine. I suppose that's fair. You have reason to be mad at us... but nothing is going to change, so I'd suggest getting used to this."

Your teeth grinded together, as you opened your mouth slightly to speak, before closing it, and trying again. You tried sounded stern, but it was much too quiet and hesitant for that. "Because of Aria? I.. I wouldn't have told anyone. I swear I won't."
Moon was quiet for a bit, though he was pleased you were talking like usual. He loved your voice.
"No. Of course you wouldn't have... but Sun was impatient to wait any longer. I think that's why he told you about her. You've been eager to get poor Sun jealous, haven't you?"
You couldn't block out the sardonic note in his voice.
"Then why... Moon. Please.. you don't have to do this. That's Sun, sure , but- I thought we were...getting along." You managed to say, your voice wavering with embarrassment.

Moon tsked, his hand sliding up to your jaw as he prayed your mouth open, placing the makeshift gag back in its place. "You've always been naive, Y/n. It's always been us initiating conversation.. every.." He paused, "-greeting. Stay with us, right with us. That's all we're asking." He stepped away from you at that moment, "-We'll talk about this later, Comet.. we promise." Moon still had to get back to the children, or at least get something done in the daycare before the kids came back. Still.. he had to admit, the thought of you waiting here, for them, was a.. pleasent thought.
