-Chapter 18-
- "Heyy Sun." You greeted, like expected-or.. maybe hoped, at this point-Sun gave a big wave back, with a happy tune and a giant smile. He was sitting on the balcony (again) kicking his feet. "Hiiiiiiii Y/n! You're early again!"
"Yeah, I probably just got used to it at this point. You doing okay?" Honestly, you weren't fully talking about just this very morning when it came to.. 'being okay'. Like you brought up before... Sun didn't seem the same as he used to anymore. In a few ways or another... He turned almost bashful at the question... like someone being told they were gorgeous. "Am I okay?" He repeated, his smile growing a bit. "Course I'm okay.. Actually, I'm doing amazing! I got our room nice and clean last night, not a speck of dust up here."
"You did? That's great. I mean, last I saw it, it didn't look.... absolutely horrdenous, but my judgement is forever outdated." By a couple years. It seemed almost every conversation there was something to remind you of the shit you've done. "It doesn't look anything similar, though that's cause we've been busy busy busy cleaning it out and changing some things!-" He paused, his smile turning maybe even slightly smug as he rested his head in his palms, "-It's not quite done yet, but you'll see it when it is."
"Big plans, then?" You asked, a part of you wished he wasn't way up there, and more like.. 3 feet away from you, but you couldn't ask for such a silly thing.
Anyway. Sun wanted to say so... but technically, there wasn't anything extravagant going on in there. It was cramped. They now had a reason to fix it. That was all.
"If there was, I would've rambled about it all by now-" He pouted, before quickly changing the topic, his usual smile returning. "Are you staying any later today?"
"Sorry, no. I shouldn't, I think I'd rather try catching the earlier bus so I won't need to wait." Right. Guy was practically MIA by now, and even if he wasn't, you weren't dating him anymore. You would have to stick with public transport for a bit.
"Oh!" He gasped, standing up almost instantly, you heard a quiet thump, and when you glanced back in Suns direction, you immediately felt yourself pulled into a hug before being prompted lifted and spun. Obviously, you hugged back also so you wouldn't fall. "...are you trying to guilt me?" You joked, and Sun set you down, still with a hand on your back, keeping you in front of him as he crouched to your level. "If I was, you would've changed your mind already." He corrected lightheartedly, reaching up with his free hand to gently boop your nose.
"And..." Sun started, his voice becoming much less energetic.. maybe even solemn. His free hand hesitated before he gently cupped your face, his rays spun a little.. as if he was proud of himself for doing such a thing. "-We'll be seeing you very often soon enough~ I love you, Y/n, but I don't wanna smother you right now since you seem like you wouldn't be very okay with it." You stared at him. He stared back. Mostly you were waiting for him to rephrase it, or... get a bit flustered, say 'whoops!' He didn't seem to care.
