Chapter 57
Thursday November 23rd
Harry's POV

"Dr. Styles!" A frantic mother called my name. Her voice rang through the room like a clap of thunder, capturing everyone's attention in the most daunting way. Filled with fear and instant alarm, she clutched her hand over her mouth unsure of what to do.

Immediately the entire room felt like it was at a standstill, everyone looking at the person who called out for a doctor. A child who got scared at the sudden yell began to cry but my focus was on the person that needed me. I'm used to these types of emergencies, but everyone else in this room was not. That much was evident as you looked around.

The atmosphere that was once loud with chatter and laughter was quickly wiped away and replaced with a great level of panic. Everyone was looking at the incident in fear, never expecting something to go wrong right in front of their eyes. Nobody was anticipating somebody to get hurt at a harmless event, but with the level of risk we have with these kids, I always knew it was a possibility and plan for prevention as much as possible.

I stood up within seconds at the call of my name, as did Mallory, noticing across the way that Lilliana was the one needing my assistance. Just moments ago she was perfectly fine, sitting and giggling with the children surrounding her, and now she was crying out for help.

"Daddy?" Stevie asked for me in worry, obviously catching on to the fact that something was wrong. All of the kids in here were now filled with terror at the sudden cry, knowing that somebody needed help.

Mallory and I made a rush across the room to Lilliana and her mother, not having the chance to answer Stevie in the case of medical emergency. I felt bad that I wasn't able to sit and give her a hug, trying to distract her like all of the other parents are currently doing to their children. All of the mothers, fathers, guardians, and relatives were quietly telling their kids that everything will be okay and to relax, but I had to leave my daughter behind without a word.

As I ran away, I heard Noah try to comfort Stevie, trying to assure her when I wasn't able to. Letting out a few words trusting me to handle it, a contrast to when he didn't want to trust me with Otis. "It's okay Stevie, he's got it"

Right when I approached Lilianna, she looked at me with wide fear filled eyes. Unable to say a word, her eyes told me the entire story. She was petrified, and silently begging me to help her, giving me that same expression so many other kids do.

I could hear that she was struggling to breathe, she was only giving me strained breaths as her lungs felt trapped in her body. Each pained inhale was followed by a high-pitched noise, which only seemed to scare her even more.

"Lil, I'm here" I assured her quickly, giving a rapid look back at Mallory. "She's choking!"

"Oh my god!" Her mother cried, tears were streaming down her face at the sight of her daughter. She was making it harder on herself to catch her own breath, standing there and beginning to hyperventilate as she regrettably watched the scene play out.

Her hands gripped frantically at her throat, never taking her frightened eyes off of me. In front of my very eyes, her lips began to turn blue, her condition rapidly increasing as the seconds ticked by. I knelt down on the ground, pulling her off of her chair and connecting her back to my chest to put her in the proper position.

Mallory automatically jumped in to handle Lilianna's mom, keeping her at a distance and attempting to calm her down as I began to save her child. She pulled her back, wrapping a comforting arm around her and trying to soothe her with reassuring words, but the situation was far too dire.

Every single pair of eyes in this room was on us. From parents to the children, everybody was on the edge of their seats waiting to see if Lilianna was going to be okay. Some might think it was a lot more pressure put on me. Saving a life was already daunting moments in time, and having at least 50 people standing around would only add to the tension in the room, but this is what I was trained for.
