Quirk Name: Devouring Mutant

Type: Mutation / Accumulation / Enhancement Hybrid

Description:

The user can consume biological tissue (blood, flesh, bone, etc.) from a living or recently deceased being and absorb their quirk, physical traits, and instinctual combat knowledge. The percentage of copied quirk proficiency correlates with the amount and diversity of tissue consumed.

Partial Consumption (e.g., a few drops of blood or minor tissue):

Grants basic quirk access. The user must train extensively to reach full proficiency and subsequent evolution.

Full Consumption (approx. 7 oz / 200g, including flesh, bone, and blood):

Unlocks full control and compatibility with the quirk, including immediate access to quirk evolution paths and unique hybridizations.

Quirk Features & Evolution Potential:

Skill Tree System: All copied quirks and traits become “branches” in an internal quirk mastery network. The user can train and evolve each skill beyond its original form.

Quirk Combination: Absorbed quirks can be fused or layered into Hybrid Techniques.

Real-Time Mutation: The user’s body adapts in-battle—evolving durability, strength, reflexes, or even generating new biological tools (e.g., bone armor, wings, gills).

Human Form Reversion: After battle, the user can revert externally to a human appearance but retain all internal enhancements.

Predator Mutation Features:

Slitted Pupils – Night vision and enhanced focus

Retractable Claws & Fangs – For combat or intimidation

Infrared & Chemical Scent Vision – Predator tracking sight

Hyper-Senses – Hearing (heartbeat detection), smell (blood, sweat, hormones), and taste-based environmental awareness

Silent Movement – Padded foot mutation and breath control.

Camouflage Skin – Partial invisibility for stealth

Special Mutation: Antiseptic Saliva

Medical Use Potential | Support-Type Sub-Application

The user’s saliva carries highly antiseptic and coagulant properties, capable of:

Killing bacteria and viruses on contact

Halting bleeding within seconds

Stimulating minor cellular regeneration

Biological Purpose: Quirk experts theorize this evolved to preserve prey vitality, preventing early death or infection that would reduce usable tissue.

Potential Uses:

Field healing in emergencies (on allies or victims)

Anti-toxin or sterilization agent

Research application in medicine (pending user consent)

Battle Applications:

Solo Combat:

High-Speed Learning: Learns enemy patterns and adapts mid-fight

Predator Mode: Heightened speed, aggression, and focus when triggered

Ambush Style: Utilizes stealth, scent tracking, and silent kills

Copy + Combine: Uses multiple absorbed quirks for hybrid attacks

Team Combat:

Tactical Analysis: Reads battlefield conditions quickly and helps strategize

Tracking Intel: Detects and follows enemy signatures even through chaos

Temporary Sync: Can temporarily boost self with samples from consenting allies

Durable Vanguard: Takes lead with high stamina and regeneration

Non-Combat Uses:

Rescue Missions:

Supernatural Tracker: Locates victims by scent, blood, or pheromones

Environmental Adaptation: E.g., lungs adapt to smoke, skin resists fire, claws aid climbing

Vitality Transfer: Can share absorbed vitality through their blood with injured allies (if enough stored)

Espionage / Stealth:

Mimicry: Can mimic scent, movement, or even voice tone of a consumed target

Silent Assassin Mode: Breath control, padded steps, and camouflage skin

Pheromone Cloaking: Can hide emotional/scent trail to avoid detection

Limitations & Drawbacks:

Bloodlust Trigger: Exposure to large amounts of blood or visible vulnerability can activate Predator Mode, heightening combat instinct and lowering empathy.

Predator Mode (Mental State):

Triggered faster if the user is physically hungry.

Can exhibit resource guarding: growling, snarling, or becoming aggressively possessive over their target (“prey”)

May glare, bare fangs, or snap at teammates without realizing

Loss of Empathy: In Predator Mode, the user’s humanity can temporarily blur. They may view allies as obstacles or threats if they approach too close.

Mental Fatigue: Too many absorbed quirks can overload the user mentally, especially if not trained well.

Social Isolation: Others may be unnerved by his presence, especially after witnessing Predator Mode.

Moral Dilemmas & Psychological Struggles:

Hero or Monster? Even allies and pro-heroes are unsure how much to trust the user.

Temptation of Power: Devouring is efficient and addictive; resisting the shortcut to strength is part of the user's battle.

Consent Dilemmas: Is it ethical to use a fallen comrade’s tissue? What if an ally offers themselves?

Self-Perception: Can the ussr love or respect themselves while living with this instinct? What makes them human?

Mental Anchors: Needs strong internal values, close emotional bonds, and possibly therapy to maintain stability.

Societal Perception:

Public Fear: the user is often viewed as a monster in human skin—dangerous, unstable, and unnatural.

Media Labeling: Called “The Flesh-Eater,” “Predator Hero,” or “The Hunter” by tabloids

Pro-Hero Community Split: Some support the user's power and discipline. Others argue for restriction or expulsion.

Villain Interest: Targeted by both villains who fear them and those who want to use the user as a weapon.
