*This quirk came to be by contemplating  nightcrawler's teleportation and Mirio's phasing quirk. Random, I know but you can thank my ADHD brain for that. :P*

Blink Step

Type: Mutant / Emitter Hybrid

Description:

The user’s body becomes partially intangible and slips through dimensional space every time they move, causing them to instantly "blink" to another location within a default range of 1 to 30 meters. This creates the visual illusion of glitching, flickering, or skipping through space. Movements are silent and sudden, making them difficult to track with the naked eye.

While in motion, the user can phase through solid matter for a brief moment, enabling high-speed traversal and unpredictable combat mobility. With training, both range and precision may increase, potentially allowing for longer-range teleportation or multiple consecutive blinks in a chain.

Core Abilities:

Blink Dash:

Instantly teleport short-to-mid distances by simply moving.

Phase Shift:

Briefly pass through solid objects, obstacles, or terrain.

Void Drag:

Can physically displace smaller objects or people during a blink (with effort).

Echo Glitch:

Leave behind temporary afterimages or decoys to confuse opponents.

Spatial Interference:

Teleportation causes brief interference in cameras or sensors, useful for stealth and misdirection.

Perfect Dodge:

Advanced users can phase-blink at frame-perfect timings to evade attacks.

Combat Courier:

With training, can blink while carrying objects or another person for emergency extraction.

Ideal Roles & Applications

Melee Combat Specialist:

Solo Use:

Blink Step allows the user to close gaps instantly, landing hits from blind spots or behind targets. They can phase through defenses or terrain to strike where least expected.

Team Use:

The user can pressure enemy frontlines while tank or ranged teammates support from a distance. They can also draw fire and then blink away to lure enemies into ambushes.

Infiltration and Stealth Operations:

Solo Use:

The user can phase through walls, floors, or barriers to enter restricted zones. Their glitching movement avoids detection, and they can blink out instantly if discovered.

Team Use:

They can scout ahead of slower teammates, disable surveillance systems with spatial interference, or open entry points by blinking to unlock doors or trigger distractions.

Distraction / Decoy Tactics

Solo Use:

The user can rapidly blink in and out of an enemy’s sightline, leaving afterimages (Echo Glitch) to confuse foes or redirect attention.
