Very short, but adorable

"You look ridiculous."

Klaus growled at the light laughter Caroline was desperately trying to stifle behind her hand.

"She cornered me as I came out of the bathroom." Klaus replied with a shrug of his shoulders.

"Don't feel too bad, she cornered Elijah last time. Rebekah was laughing her head off. He went absolutely stiff at the idea and couldn't make heads or tails of what he was supposed to be doing."

Caroline gently sat down next to her husband and placed her smaller hand on top of Klaus' larger one. He turned from his task and gave her an almost pleading look. Caroline chuckled and shifted her eyes to the culprit of the problem.

"Can Mommy finish this? Let Daddy go get dressed."

Their four year daughter beamed brightly at her parents and bounced her little head up and down. Klaus hastily got up from the bedroom floor handing Caroline the brush and bottle of bright pink nail polish.

Klaus was out of the room faster than they could blink. He might do many things for his family but paint his daughter's nails? He'd rather choke on vervain.
