"So how exactly did you find out that Caroline is here in the supernatural capital of the united states?" Elena asked with determination to weasel the answer out of Damon.
"Let's just say I know a few people in the area and with Vampires news travels fast. One year the self-proclaimed King of New Orleans was out and Klaus was in. Then 2 years later the city has a beautiful blonde Queen? Come on Elena it doesn't take an Einstein to put two and two together." Damon revealed. "Plus it shouldn't have been hard to realize that Klaus may have had an actual genuine emotion and our lucky small town Miss Mystic Falls was the recipient. Also I think Stefan is with her so if he is, it's time we pay my brother a little visit." He continued as he led her through the streets of one of his favorite cities. After a few more blocks into the famous city two vampires sped before them and halted their events.
"Who are you?" The tall brunette asked with fierceness and an iron glare. Damon and Elena flinched and then straightened themselves out.

"Listen we're not here to cause any problems. My friend and I were just wondering if you knew where Caroline Forbes was?" Elena asked timidly with hope at seeing her best friend again. The girl's eyes darkened and she looked at the other girl beside her and narrowed her eyes.
"What do you want with Caroline?" She asked in all seriousness.
"Ah, so you know her? I must say that is quite convenient, if you could just escort us to her we'd appreciate it." Damon snarked not entirely sure what he was walking into.
"Someone comes into New Orleans with specific instructions to see the Queen, sounds like a threat to us and we don't take threats lightly here." The 2nd girl responded.
"No! We're not threats I swear, look we're her friends from Mystic Falls and we just wanna see her. Tell her Elena and Damon are here and she'll tell you the truth...please." Elena pleaded with despair and sadness. The two girls shared a glance and nodded. The blonde one walked to the side and made a dialed a number on her cellphone.
"Katie, can you tell Caroline that two people by the names of Damon and Elena are at the border and that they wanna see her?-Yeah they say they knew her in Mystic Falls-I know that's where she's from Katie which is why I'm calling you-You're her damn secretary just ask her-Okay, you got it." They heard her say and Damon and Elena couldn't help but narrow their eyes in disbelief. "Okay, follow us."
-------------------------------"What's with the strays?" Isaac asked in confusion as Caroline's right and left hand women walked in to her side of the mansion.
"They say they knew her in Mystic Falls and that they wanted to see her." Lexi responded with a nervous voice. She was always nervous when she was around Klaus's guys. One misstep and they won't hesitate to blab to Klaus.
"So what, you decided to bring them to her office? Are you and Rosalie insane?" He yelled in a haze.
"Whoah there Isaac you need to relax. How dumb do you think me and Lexi are, huh? We called Katie to clear it with Caroline." She responded quickly before he could go on any further.
"Look you all need to relax, we're just trying to see our good old friend Caroline not the Queen of England." Damon yelled in annoyance at all the fuss of his blonde friend. Before the various gazes of anger in the room could tear him apart he was gracefully saved.
"Well I am a queen Damon just not of England." Caroline answered cheerfully with a large smile on her face. Elena's face lit up and she ran towards her long lost friend and embraced her tightly.
"Care! It's so good to see you, I've missed you!" She revealed with joy as they embraced once again.
"I've missed you too Elena! Damon, ehhh not so much." She teased as she opened the large white and gold double doors to her office and ushered them in. "Katie tell Sophie that I need to see her and Isaac I know you love Katie but I'm sure Klaus needs you for something. You're his right hand man so get out of my wing and go to his." She ordered in a teasing fashion as the vampires in the room laughed and she retreated into her office and shut the doors.
"Well my sources weren't kidding Forbes, you really are the Queen." Damon joked as he and Elena took in the rather large room. A room that was just the pure essence of Caroline. Pink,White and Gold adorned in intricate and beautiful ways. They took a seat in front of her large white desk as Caroline sat across from them.
"Mikaelson." Caroline mumbled quietly as she rolled her chair in closer to the desk. Damon raised an eyebrow and leaned forward.
"I beg your pardon blondie?" He asked curiously.
"My last name, you called me Forbes. It isn't Forbes anymore it's Mikaelson." She announced proudly as she relished in their surprised faces. Elena gulped and nodded encouragingly.
"I'm uhm very happy for you." She lied evidently.
"No, you're not but it's okay that's not important. So! What brings this visit? Entering the border unannounced is very dangerous, my girls could have ripped you apart." She revealed with pride at her very loyal followers that she's worked very hard to get as well as to maintain. Before Damon could make a stupid remark Elena answered first.
"We heard you were here and we wanted to see you. Plus we also heard Stefan was here and we were hoping you knew where he was." Elena said quietly.
"Well I'm not really the right person to ask about Stefan's well-being. You'd have to talk to Rebekah about that, those two are awfully hard to separate." She answered truthfully about her best friend and Rebekah who she'd come to recognize as her sister.
"You're joking right?" Elena asked with fear for Stefan's well-being.
"Uhm no actually I'm not. Stefan came to see me like a decade ago and well let's just say he hasn't left. Also fair warning, Katherine is here." Caroline said carefully as she knew the dopplegangers never had a semi decent relationship.
"You're living here with Katherine? Have you lost your blonde mind?!" Damon exclaimed in utter shock at the news.
"Well she's married to Elijah so no I haven't actually. You know you may find this hard to believe but we're very happy here. I'm with Klaus, Katherine is with Elijah, Stefan with Rebekah and Bonnie's with Kol." She answered in defense of her family. A few decades ago Caroline realized exactly where she needed to be and sure Klaus's family was just baggage at first but overtime she grew to love them like her own family. It wasn't long till they actually were her family. Stefan and Bonnie were easy, they were already friends. Katherine was the one who took her a decade to get used to, after all she is the one who killed her. Yet even she became part of her family after a very very long time. Bonnie made the ultimate decision to turn and while it was hard for her to let go of magic she adjusted and fit right in. Thank goodness for them because Kol was a handful who only she could handle and they love her for it. Together they ran New Orleans and they were feared all over the world. Klaus was the ruthless king who showed no mercy when he needed to unless his wife condoned it and together as a pair they were feared and respected but most importantly they were loved.
"I officially think you've all lost it. This is insane, you are all insane!" Damon yelled in perpetual disbelief. Their conversation was interrupted by a knock at the door.
"Come in!" Caroline yelled in approval as the door opened and in walked Sophie, their most trusted witch.
"You needed me Caroline?" She asked as she glanced at the unfamiliar faces.
"Yes! Klaus told me that he invited these Vampires to the ball tomorrow and they have a bit of a reputation of killing Werewolves for sport. You know as well as I do that I won't have it, not in my city. Tomorrow's the full moon and normally the spell placed on the woods for Klaus's pack doesn't let anyone who goes in, come out but I need you to change it. Alter the spell, no one in or out after we seal it closed." Caroline ordered calmly. Sophie nodded and smiled at the idea.
"An excellent idea, I'll get right on it" She answered in approval. "Anything else?"
"No that's it, thanks Sophie!" She answered in gratitude for all her hard work that she does for her family. A while back Klaus wanted to lure Werewolves back into the city after Marcel had ran them all out. Caroline suggested that they load the nearby woods with deer and forest animals, then conceal the wolves in a spelled barrier during the full moon so that they can't get out and kill innocent people. 'Spoken like a true Queen' he'd told her and she couldn't be more proud of her idea. There's 2 large bunkers underground in the woods, one for the guys and one for the girls. Caroline personally puts clothes and food in it every week of the full moon.
"Look can we see Stefan or not?" Damon said getting straight to the point. Caroline rolled her eyes and slid her chair out and nodding.
"He's in the house with everyone else, I'll take you that is if you're not intimidated." She teased with a smile. Caroline walked out of the room to see Isaac sitting on Katie's desk and she couldn't help but smile to herself.
"Isaac, what did I tell you!" She playfully yelled. "Don't make me tell Klaus to come get you." She said seriously and smiled when his eyes widened and before she knew it he was gone. Leading the pair through various corridors she ultimately led them to a grand stair case and they walked past it into a large common room to see not just Stefan in the room but, all of them.
"Caroline finally! Katherine, Bonnie and I have been waiting for you for over an hour. We're supposed to go shopping for dresses for tomorrow night in case you've forgotten." Rebekah said as soon as she stepped into the room not having noticed who was with her.
"I've been busy all day planning all the finishing touches and preparing for the full moon, of course I haven't forgotten Bekah."
"Are you sure beca- what the hell are you two doing here?" Rebekah asked bluntly causing everyone to stop what they were doing and look up.
"Elena?!" Bonnie asked in awe. Elena was the last person she'd expected to see in her home.
"Sorry to interrupt the big happy family time but we're here to see my brother." Damon witted out as he stared at his brother after an entire decade.
"Well this sucks." Katherine called out from the couch. "Elena Gilbert, you're the last person I thought I'd see here. Credit where credit is due, you've got guts coming here." Katherine said.
"Katerina..." Elijah whispered quietly causing her to roll her eyes and throw her hands up in truce.
"Yes I must say this is quite the surprise that you've brought us here sister." Kol said directed towards Caroline.
"Mhmm well I just couldn't say no." She responded with a giggle. "I need to go talk to Klaus so I'll be back. Elijah keep everyone in check please, if there is a single drop of blood in this room when I return...I'll talk your ears off." Caroline threatened.
"Good god, can't have that now can we?" Kol said seriously and earned a pillow to the face from Caroline as she left the room. ------------------------------- Caroline walked into Klaus's wing which was separated by their home. Klaus's wing had his office, his not so glamorous torture room and various other things while hers was a simpler luxury. Caroline walked past everyone and shoved his double doors open. She couldn't help but smile as everyone stood a little straighter as they saw her.
"Sweetheart." He called out in surprise to see Caroline at this hour in his office.
"Klaus," She answered with a smile on her face "Leave us." She concluded to his guys. They all nodded and exited the room in an orderly fashion. Klaus sat down on his large chair and grinned when Caroline sauntered over and straddled his lap, her pencil skirt hiking way up her thighs. Klaus didn't waste a second in placing his hands on the newly exposed flesh.
"Is this what you walked all the way here for? Not that I'm complaining love, you know I fancy your visits." He teased as he pressed kisses to her neck. Caroline hummed in approval and placed her hands softly on his chest.
"Well to be fair I didn't walk all the way over here from my wing, I was in the house." She answered and then let out a soft moan as nibbled her ear lobe. "Damon and Elena are here, to see Stefan." She told him hoping he wouldn't mind too much.
"Well that would explain this little visit." He said but continued nonetheless.
"No, this visit is because I love you but think whatever you want." Caroline teased as she finally connected their lips in a heated lip-lock of passion and desire. Her hands moving to around his neck as he squeezed her flesh in his hands. Klaus pulled away and smiled.
"Say it again." He asked subtly which was something he did often. Caroline let out a dry laugh and nodded.
"I. Love. You." She said slowly and pressed another kiss to lips.
"Never get's old." He answered and pressed more kisses to her neck. This was a life that Caroline wouldn't give up for the world. She was a Queen, his Queen and that's a title she wore pretty damn well.
