"You have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book?"
Psalm 56:8 Comment:
In society, tears are generally frowned upon. Seen as a sign of weakness. If you hold 'em in, push 'em down, you are strong. But that point of view isn't the right one. Like everything in life, even tears have a purpose. God created tears to be a way to release or show feelings and emotions. Sadness, joy, anger, etc.Our tears are so precious to God that He keeps count of every single one and bottles them up. He has a record of them in His book. Not for one second is anything we say, feel, or do out of His sight. As 1 Peter says, "Give everything to God because He cares for you." He cares enough to be a shoulder to cry on. He is so loving and caring that we don't have to pretend to be strong in His presence. He sees right through that, anyway.
No matter the circumstances, whenever we come to God with tears built up inside from aches and pains of the heart, He is right there to wipe those tears from our eyes and carry that pain as His own. In His presence, those pent up tears can be released and help us heal.
