Not dead

2 days later
We were driving back from getting George back. We had stayed at a motel just outside Portland. We still had another 4-5 hours of driving left before we get home.
Hours later
We were driving the backroad about 5 minutes away from the city when we came across two cars that were upside down and wrecked.
There was a girl that looked like she was in her early twenties late teens she was shouting and kneeling next to one of the cars.
We got out and ran to the car.

A couple of hours later
We got to the hospital and everyone just stared at George but he made it clear he wasn't dead so I decide to go and see Meredith. As I was walking over the bridge when I saw Meredith in front of me. When she saw me she ran towards me and into my arms.
"I heard what happened are you ok" she asked
"Yea I'm fine we heard a girl shouting so we drove up there all alive" I replied
"God Derek I got so worried but how's George"
"He's ok we stopped by his moms house on the way back she's shaken up pretty bad but he's here if you want to go see him"
"Ok I will you might want to go get that arm checked out" she pointed to my arm and I realised my arm was bleeding and I didn't even notice
"Yea I'll go now I'll see you later"
"Ok I love you"
"I love you too" I said planting a kiss on her lips then walking to my office.
