When I got into the delivery room Meredith was lying on a bed screaming while the OB checked her out.
"Derek thank god your here" she said mid scream as I approached her.
"Yes sweetie I'm here I will always be here ok just breathe" I said softly calming her down which worked "just breathe".
After 10 more minutes of doctors and nurses coming in and out they all started prepping her for something.
"What are you doing" she asked trying to get comfortable.
"Prepping you for surgery, your baby is coming a month early because you have had a placental abruption so we need to get in straight away" Dr Laffrene said writing something down quickly.
"Derek you are aloud in the room with us you just need to let us do our job" she said after writing and I nodded.
When we got to the OR it all went by so quickly......
