Chapter 4 : The survival test

Beep...Beep....Beeeeep!

The alarm rang with full vigor which made the blonde boy wake up with a shock. Naruto looked at the clock... So early... Was sensei a morning person? His stomach rumbled slightly. Remembering Sensei's warning, he decided(with great difficulty) to forgo his morning breakfast of hot, steaming ramen. Realizing that he was going to be late, he quickly dashed outside after carefully bolting his apartment shut.

At the same time, a certain pink haired girl was meticulously brushing down her hair. Why did sensei have to call them so early? Now she wouldn't have time to blow dry her hair. One more thing... Hopefully the test wouldn't be too taxing. Perhaps skipping her dinner because of her diet was a bad idea. She let out a wide yawn and slowly walked towards the meeting point.

The raven haired boy was heading out of the house after getting ready. He didn't know what kind of a test it would be...but he wondered if the silver haired jonin would be of any help in training him to be an avenger...

The trio arrived at the meeting point. Sasuke looked disinterested as ever. Sakura was still yawning. Naruto looked like he was sleep walking.

"Good morning. All the best for the survival test. Let us hope that we pass it..."

Akame was already there, leaning against a tree. Her hand held a light grip on her sword. She looked just as ever. Sakura's inner self went into hyper mode.

'Cha! when did she even come here? I came on time!'

Naruto and Sasuke were wondering the same thing. Akame chuckled. They looked at her with surprise. She was really pretty when she smiled...and this was the first time they had seen her smile properly.

"I just thought it would be a good idea to camp here last night. It would help us know if Kakashi-sensei sets up a trap for us...but don't worry. He did not."

With that Akame quickly climbed up a tree and sat down with her eyes closed. She was meditating. The quartet were waiting. Sakura and Naruto soon tired out and sat down. Sasuke stood the entire time. Akame was meditating but it looked like she was sleeping. Suddenly, she leapt off the tree and landed gracefully on the ground.

"Sensei is here."

Naruto and Sakura screamed in unison. "You are late!"

"Ahhahaha... A black cat crossed my path so I had to talk the other way around..."

The trio scoffed at his pathetic excuse. He then set a timer and explained how they must procure a bell before noon to pass the test but there were only three bells while there were four of them trying to get it. If they don't then they would be sent back to the academy. Naruto tried to attack before the test started but sensei moved way too quickly and twisted Naruto's hands backwards...Naruto's kunai knife pointing at the back of his own neck.

" Well atleast you came at me with killing intent. I am starting to like you guys. So then...three...two...one...begin!"

The trio(Naruto,Sakura and Sasuke) disappeared in a puff of smoke while Akame quickly climbed a nearby tree and hid her presence. Sensei smiled. A ninja should know how to conceal their movements and hide effectively. Akame gazed at him above. Sakura peeked at him from below the bushes and Sasuke hid in the tree branches.
