Chapter 14 : Date

Akame stretched her hands and relaxed herself. She had passed out at the training grounds. Team seven...in fact all genins who had passed the prelims...had abandoned their D rank missions and devoted themselves solely towards their training.

After the preliminary exams, they got a month to prepare for the finals. Sasuke was being trained by Kakashi while Naruto managed to convince ero-sennin, Jiraiya to teach him. Sakura had failed so she didn't have any urgency in training.

Akame had an important task...train her newly acquired Ice powers.

She decided to go to the bath house. It was located near the food shops so she could grab a bite later and head home directly.

Later at the bath house

"Akame! Fancy seeing you here!"

Sakura and Ino were about to enter in. They had also brought Hinata along with them.

The quartet removed their clothes and stepped into the hot water in bath robes.

Ino: Ah...this is heaven! Since the chuunin exams, I and choji have been taking D rank missions while Asuma-sensei has been coaching Shikamaru. It's bothersome to do lame tasks as D rank mission all day long...

Sakura: Well...Naruto, Sasuke and Akame all made it to the finals from our team...so I've been free lately. But leave all that...it's time for girls talk!

Hinata : Are you sure? I d-don't think that I possess anything worthwhile enough to talk about...

Ino: Eh? Then...how about this?

Hinata: Kyaaah!

Ino had maneuvered behind Hinata and grabbed her bosom. She purposely showed them in front of Sakura.

Ino: Don't worry...huge assets are just excess meat when it comes to ninjas. Just that while ours will go 'boing, boing...' yours will go 'squish, squish, squat'...if you get the drift...

Sakura turned beet red and mused over her inherent lack of assests. She glanced hopefully at Akame. She had a feeling that Akame wouldn't be too well endowed.

Hinata: Akame-san, you didn't remove the bandages over your chest...

Akame: Ah...I'm sorry. Just that it's more comfortable in battle if I keep them stiffly in place...

The trio stared at Akame as she removed the bandages that covered her chest...

Akame: W-why are you staring so intensely? It's e-embarrassing...

True to her word, Akame had turned beet red. But their focus was on her now bare chest. She might not be as well endowed as Hinata...but they looked perfect on her petite and slender figure. Akame must be training in taijutsu a lot...she didn't have any undesirable flesh and her skin was toned. Besides even if it wasn't too much, she still had enough to make them go boing...

Then Sakura decided to get out of the depressing topic and decided to talk about bfs. Sakura and Ino ranted on about Sasuke's perfectness while Hinata fell into a daze about a certain ninja wearing an orange jumpsuit. Akame tried to stay out of the topic but they decided that Akame and Kariya would make a lovely couple...

They changed into dry kimonos and walked out when...

"Akame-san, would you accompany me on a date tonight?"

"Kyaah!"

Akame stared blank-eyed at the guy who had just asked her out. Sakura and Ino had hearts in their eyes.

"But I've never been on a date before..."

"That's great! It would mean that I'll be the first person to try courting you..."

Later...

They went to the dango store where he ordered some assorted dango and camiole tea for her and green tea for him. Unbeknownst to them, Sasuke was following them.

He had finished his training for the day with Kakashi and was about to head to a shop to have some yakiniku before heading home when he overheard Sakura and Ino talking about Akame going on a date with Mahiro Kariya. He had never seen Akame show anyone her girlish side...he was simply curious.

He was surprised to find that he knew not to order green tea for Akame. He decided to listen to their conversation.

Hiro(Mahiro): So? How is it?

Akame: It is indeed quite delicious!

Hiro: That's great. After seeing you, I just had a feeling that you might like sweet things.

Akame: Thank you. But why would you ask me out on a date?

Sasuke's heart was thumping loud... So he was finally going to know the answer...

Hiro: The first time I saw you was during the written test. You were so smart that you didn't even copy. The second time was in the forest of death. You fought against that snake man and actually defeated him. You also defeated a 6 man alliance easily and took their scrolls. You had two earth scrolls so you found a team who had chanced upon two heaven scrolls and traded with them. You also managed to get medicine for your ailing members in the midst of battle. Then finally during the preliminary... You had no hesitation when it comes to killing. You didn't have bloodlust but you weren't uninterested either. To you killing was as simple as breathing. I fell in love quickly.

Akame: But why would you notice me in the first place? You wouldn't know all this unless you stalk me...

Hiro: I see...I can't believe that a mature beauty like you didn't even know of her charms till now... I'm actually surprised... So you were telling the truth when you said that you have never dated anyone.

Mahiro and Akame spent a hour talking pleasantly. Sasuke couldn't help but feel irritated... She promised him that she would stay by his side until the day he had his revenge. What was he angry about? The fact that Akame was wasting her time with a guy instead of focusing on attaining his objective or the fact that he was not the one seated across Akame, eating dangos and acting lovey-dovey...

Hiro: I have something interesting for you...but to get that you are going to have to defeat me at a game of tag...

Akame: Sure! Get ready to be caught, Hiro-san!

Sasuke decided to go home for the day. He was tired besides he was getting more and more irritated as time passed.

On the top of the Hokage mountain

Akame: Caught you!

Hiro: Ahhahaha... Yes you did.

Akame: So what is it that you have for me?

Hiro made a few hand signs and lightly tapped Akame's forehead.

Hiro: Sweet dreams...scarlet eyed princess...you won't be waking up for a while...
